Blog Entries: 1 | I have a question. How do 1000 sons replenish their ranks? If they are just spirits trapped in their armour, what happens when the armour is destroyed? Wouldn't all new initiates be sorcerers?

Blog Entries: 1 | You gotta understand there were at least 10,000 of them before the heresy. Thats a lot of marines! and since only about 15-20% at best were sorcerers thats a lot of 2 wound marines running around to destroy. Also they aren't as blood thristy or confrontational as other legions so they should take many fewer losses. I imagine the sorcerers can reseal souls into armor too so they may be able to repair some after battles and in 40k a model that is a casualty isn't always dead just unable to fight, so they might loss a leg during a battle and be counted as a casualty but after wards be fixed. ![]() They don't recruit new rubric marines. Its not possable without casting another rubric which magnus forbid.

Blog Entries: 1 | Wow, I never thought about them putting old spirits in new armour. But wouldn't their spirits go directly to the warp? Why don't the entomb daemons in PA or TA? That would be cool!

Blog Entries: 1 | ahrimans cabal - a bunch of the other sorcerers of the legion. ahriman was the chief librarian of the 1000 sons so he was able to recruit a bunch of the others and convinced them to do the ruberic. even though magnus banned the ruberic he also excilled ahriman and all the sorcerers of his cabal which means for the past 10000 years or so they've been running around with the power and knowledge to make more ruberic marines pretty much anytime they want. ![]() its hard with the new rules but the the current (outgoing) rules you could make ahrimans cabal as an all asp champ/sorcerer chosen squad and have them be ahriman's bodyguard/retinue. i was working on this until i saw the new rules which doesn't alow rets nor chosen marines to be sorcerers. hopefully this will change next year with the deamon/legion codex. that or hopefully gw will be smart and release the legions in the wd/online formats like they did for blood angels. that would be good. i suppose that you could run ahriman and then for fluff wize say that all your sorcerers in your 1000 son squads are members of the cabal assigned thier own bodyguard ruberic marines..........hmmm that has possibilities.....

| T-sons, IIRC, when they repair their rubric marines armor, the soul comes back into it. It would be cool if they could keep making new rubric marines though, like the rubric spell, but on a smaller scale. I would love to see/use some terminator-armored Rubric Marines.

Blog Entries: 2 | There would never be more Rubric Marines made, as Magnus has strictly forbidden it. Wat happened was that Ahriman saw mutations all over the Thousand Sons, so he cast the Rubric of Ahriman, hoping to stop the mutations by sealing the Sons into their armor. This backfired, as every non-psyker marine became a mindless Rubric Marine. Magnus got rather... pissed off would be an understatement, as he had forged the Thousand Sons into a legion of scholar-warriors, who were now nothing but psykers and automatons. Magnus cast Ahriman out, and now Ahriman searches the webway for the Black Library. Anyway, there will be no more Rubric Marines. What happens is that they repair the armor, or, if strictly necessary, I assume the forge new or steal old armor. They also, apparently, are re-energised with a psyker around, and does anyone know if the pyskers were Rubricked, but retained their minds? That would explain Madox, of SW fame. EDIT: Oh, right, they don't really control the minds of the Rubricked. They just get... re-energised. And as far as I am aware, they do in fact control other's minds, rarely.
