With out any specifics that looks pertty good. I am always a big fan of troops and you are not min/maxing them. 7 models is a great idea. It forces your opponents to kill 4 models to bring you below 50%. If you want more help I would sugest actually writing out your army list something similar to this HQ: Daemon Prince - Wings, Mark of Tzeentch, Warptime, Doom bolt = 185 Troops: 10x Chaos Space Marines - Aspiring Champion, 2x Flamer = 175 Rhino - Smoke Launchers, Search Light, Twin-Linked Bolters = 35 10x Chaos Space Marines - Aspiring Champion, 2x Flamer = 175 Rhino - Smoke Launchers, Search Light, Twin-Linked Bolters = 35 9x Thousand Sons - Inferno Bolts = 207 1x Aspiring Sorcerer - Doombolt = 70 Rhino - Smoke Launchers, Search Light, Twin-Linked Bolters = 35 9x Thousand Sons - Inferno Bolts = 207 1x Aspiring Sorcerer - Doombolt = 70 Rhino - Smoke Launchers, Search Light, Twin-Linked Bolters = 35 Fast Attack : 6x Raptors - Aspiring Champion, Icon of Chaos Glory, 2x Meltaguns = 165 6x Raptors - Aspiring Champion, Icon of Chaos Glory, 2x Meltaguns = 165 Total = 330 Heavy Support: Chaos Defiler - Two Dreadnought CCW, Battle Cannon, Reaper Autocannon, Twin-Linked Heavy Flamer, Daemonic Possession, Smoke Launchers, Searchlight = 150 You will notice how I list exactally what everything is and what it is equiped with, but I only list the total points. This is a rule that GW enforces across all of the web. You can't post specific Point Costs or rules, but generalizations is AOK. Servo | |

| I like the concept of lots of plague marines, they are tough and the feel no pain rule is awesome. Although the sacred #7 does not mean much in game play anymore, I still like the idea of keeping them @ 7 strong. I am not a fan of the chaos dread, as he has a tendancy to maul your own units, "just to unpredictable for me". Because the plague marines lack any real ranged fire power and normally don't prefer it, I use termies and oblits, as they can both deep strike and even out the odds a tad with those really fast armies. This is just my opinon, so hopefully this helps a little.

Blog Entries: 5 | if you are set on going with the dred, give it 2 CCW that way the damage it can cause to others is massive, but the damage it can cause to you is minimal.

Blog Entries: 1 | I say drop the Dread, go with a few Bikers. Not a big fan of Nurgle Sorcerers.

| Corporal ![]() ![]() | When I field, I usually field 6x 7 units. I don't use a sorcerer though, not a fan of magic... except for Typhus, he's a win/win, always passing his rolls. I tend to field at least one Dread and keep them as far away as possible from my troops, but I do arm them lascannon/ CCW combo. The thing I find effective is also using a Predator and my Defiler, it's good to have range in an otherwise short distance army.

| Corporal ![]() ![]() | Unfortunately, no. That would have been ok in 3rd Edition, but 4th did away with that... and everything else that was good, haha. As far as bikers/ raptors, codex wise, you can... fluff wise, Death Guard shunned both units. It's all down to what you want, truthfully.

Blog Entries: 1 | The codex doesn't necessarily represent only the Death Guard followers of Nurgle. If you want a nurgle army you can take what ever you want but if you want to set up a specifically Death Guard army then don't take the faster units (Bikes, jump packs) because it isn't their style.

) maybe swap him out for a defiler; bigger bang, no mistakes and still just as 'urty as an assaulty dread.i'd also swap the sorcerer for a plain old chaos lord in termie armour w/twin lightning claws. good & killy for cheap! just keep in mind too that you always want to pair-up your special weapons in each squad... so for example, instead of say 2 squad both w/melta + plasma gun, take 1 squad w/2 plasmas and the other with 2 meltas. it simply helps ensure that you don't waste shots and that each squad becomes that much better at the role you've asigned it! you might also want to consider a rhino or two so that you can quickly either get onto objectives, or else plug and gaps in your advance... some termies are also mandetory! they're also great candidates for the reaper autocannon to give you some nice mobile transport/light armour killing ability... also don't overlook the idea of including a pack or 3 of summoned lesser daemons. sure they're not quite as good as the previous daemons, but they're a fraction of the pts cost compared to a plague marine, and are great for simply tar-pitting a unit or two while your plague marines take care of other more pressing targets! cheers!

| Corporal ![]() ![]() | Ehh.... I don't know, I tried the new lesser daemons in a couple games and I wasn't impressed. I'd save the points. Definitely use rhinos as was said, I use 3 rhinos and have 3 squad foot slog. The rhinos are great protection going up the field, and when you get there, pile out and use them for cover. As far as special weapons, flamers in general are kind of a waste except against swarm armies, so for all intensive purposes, don't plan on using them. Remember to use cover to your advantage, blight grenades are a nasty surprise for an enemy expecting their +1 A for the charge. Death Guard is a great trench/attrition army, so keep that in mind.

| The Munkey Master ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Well buddy paint however you want and are comfortable with. If your a A+ painter with 3 GD and slayer swords then choose something to challenge yourself. If your a beginner choos something easier and with good effect but you can add to and challenge yourself!. this may sound like a cop out but you gotts do something that you can do and will make you a better painter. and for the new codex check your PM box!!!

| Trooper ![]() | Drop the Sorcerer, it not very nurglesque. Also, remember, Death Guard is promarily INFANTRY. This means lots of ground pounders. If you are gonna take transports, use them for Havocs and/or posessed. Having lots of Plague Marines is good, they are the core of any DG force. And looking at what Warchild said earlier, definately Typhus and Termies
