Default Nurgle Army with Berzerkers (as mercenaries?)

Ok, so heres the list.

Typhus

Chaos Sorceror (What do you guys think of dropping doombolt and the familliar, maybe even the mark and the pred and going with a second sourc. Wind of Chaos is awesome against vehicles, and the pred seems to get targetted too easily.)

i'd say drop the sorcerer and take a cheap chaos lord w/power toy + mark of khorne if you really want to keep the 'zerkers...
since the world eaters legion was broken by kharn, they have instead become roving mercenaries pledging themselves to other, greater chaos lords in return for the chance to slay and take skulls in khorne's name. thus, the cheap chaos lord could represent the senior most officer of the small warband...
typhus has accepted your world eaters into his host to use as terror troops & an unstoppable shock assault force! of corse, it would be compleatly fitting and well within character to use your 'zerkers as a throw-away assault force! just point 'em at the enemy and off you go! see how many kills the nutters can rack up before they're all butchered in turn! meanwhile, typhus' troops will be able to go about their own business and sustain far fewer casulties as the enemy's attention is focused on the 'zerkers!!!

Hmm, Thats an amazing idea in terms of fluff, but my sorcerer's Wind of chaos does beautifully against troops and vehicles (when it actually hits). I actually think in 3000 point apocalypse games, I'm going to include Kharn as an HQ choice and throw in like 15 more Berzerkers.

Edit: I might also note that the 'lesser daemons' are bloodletters.

I second the sentiment of the Sorcerer, without MoT, they're pretty much useless. Also, one thing to remember is... despite the fact that the Chaos Gods are constantly warring with one another, Khorne and Nurgle really have no history of battling each other. I could most definitely see them aligning with one another. In fact, that's what my WIP Apocalypse army is.

The only other problem I see is... take advantage of the Plague Marines' low INI by giving THEM the Power Fist, and the Skull Champions Power Weapons.

the problem with wind is that it's such a short range, and you really run the risk of leaving yourself out of assault range against cunning opponents! (as they will take their casulties from the closest models to your men!)

IIRC, typhus gives you a wind of chaos already... if you really like template weapons, then why not plump for a havoc or chosen squad with 3-4 flamers?!!
trust me, come 5th edition, that humble and often scoffed at flamer is going to become alot more inticing!

Are you referring to Gift of Chaos? Wind doesn't have a range, its simply 'place a template on the table and scatter'. Unless I'm mistaken and its an AoE. Actually the codex doesn't really explain what it is, they don't even say the size of the template.

why is there a Daemonic Posessed landraider if you get rid of the damonic possession you can use the landraider to transport typhus and his terminator buddies so they can move around faster

Daemonic possession doesn't remove the vehicle's ability to transport passengers, in the fluff it just removes the 'crew' (aka the driver/etc.)

Also, yeah, I figured out what wind of chaos did, and I've decided it would be much cheaper/effective to give the sourc. MoS and Lash of Sub. Then I was going to drop the second termie squad (The one without the claws) and put in 3 more 8-man squads of Berzerkers.

When a weapon says "template" it means the flamer template. So it only has an 8" range...
