If it's all about shootin the crap outa them...then I would definatley drop the attack bikes and get the Russ exterminator with a HB's all around...take the PMSB upgrade for your rhinos and for the tanks... every little bit helps and remember to use those troops inside...especially the assault weapons
This gives you 80 points left
Drop the WW too...strength 5?...for it's effectiveness (wound on 3+ which is good but then normal armor saves) you can use the points in a better way.

That leaves you with 170 points...
add two scouts to your squad with a sniper rifle and a plasma pistol...that leaves you with 127 points...
Make sure you use their OBEL rule...
this gives you another scoring unit and gives them a bit more punch when they hit your opponents rear...if they do the job right, you can take out the primary objective from the rear and then use em to pin another unit...
Take a set of landspeeders one with a Multi melta...for 115 points and add the extra armor to your Russ as well...leaves 7 points...

Use the Russ as support for your rhinos...watch your LOS and the firing fields and use the speeders as flankers against your opponents weak side...granted they will draw fire, but that's what you want and if they are moving fast (max move till ready to shoot) they make for harder targets...best targets are massed troops or an ordanance heavy, again watch your LoS...or rather yer opponent's...
When yer scouts turn up in turn 3 or 4 the chaos the speeders created can be exploited...by this time your VD should be in assault range too, if he hasn't been shot all to hell...and yer Pred should have taken care of the opponent's threat heavies and/or Dreads in the open...

Of course the set up is basically gonna depend on your opponent and how YOU wanna play it...if you feel comfortable with your original list then so be it, as for your 2K list consider adding another troop choice so that you can get that Russ in there...definately worth having in any SW army...
Thanks I was wondering what is a WW.

Yer I like using tactics. What I was thinking for this list was a kind of crab claw. The venerable dread is the front line while the attack bikes and rhinos one on each flank move up attacking the bikes at the sides and the rhinos with there troops at the back.

WW is the Whirlwind...I know you wanna have an ordinance...but at 1500 points...yer better off having direct fire and then work the WW in to your 2K list...as for tactics...the best that I can call upon are the simplest...get yer troops in there and get em into HtH...you know how us wolves like to mix it up close and personal...and if you add the pintle mounts to the rhinos you still are allowed to have two models firing from the crew door at the top rear...used to be half the squad...but alas...they took it away...so now yer lookin at 2 stormbolters, a boltgun, and yer assault weapon from the squad firing into enemy troops as you hit em...and fer goodness sake...don't forget about tank shock...use those rhinos to break up enemy formations...run through the middle of em and when they lose coherency...disembark and tear into em...
