Need some help with my 1500 pt list - 40K Terra

Ok I like to first get a good list up before I actually get the models then realise its bad.

Ok here we go.

1500 points

Lightning claws, wolf pelt, frag grenades, melta bombs, belt of russ, runic armour

heavy flamer,assault cannon,extra armour

looks groovy to me but then i'm just relearning how to think like a wolf so i may have overlooked something...

why put the storm bolters on the support tanks instead of the transports?

Because young blood claw rhinos come with storm bolters.

I dont play much SM, I normally play IG. But I would like to tell you what holes "I" would exploit.

IMO you have alot of armor. It can work, but with 2 HS choices in 1500 will be outnumbered most of the time. Alot of people get wrapped around HS, I know I do also. But with 2 rhinos, an annihilator, WW, a Dreadnought, and some bikes it only leaves you with 24 models that are not mounted. A couple of good well placed shots will leave your 2 squads running across the board getting shot up. I would look at maybe dropping either annihilator or WW in exchange for another squad of scouts (if possible with Space Wolfs).

Dreadnought. is it deep striking? Its tooled up for CC ( flamer/AC ). With the majority of your army speeding across the board, it will be left in the back moving 6in at a time with nothing too shoot at. I would tool it up for ranged combat, maybe LC/Missile Launcher.

Bikes. Maybe drop one in exchange for an assault bike. Give them a purpose, either armor hunters (with special wpns). As they are, I belive you have them there to put some models in CC and hold them up until your infantry gets there. If so maybe toss your Rune priest (if possible, again I dont play SM) on a bike. Might give them more of a punch, and direct the attention off your Rhino's holding the brunt of your force.

I need the annihlator for anti tank- The whirlwind is for hordes and I jsut want a ordance weapon.

The bikes are there to protect the tanks. Vernerable drednaught will not be deep striking as he can't. But will move slowly hopefully wither taking enemy fire his hard to bring down or being ignored and reaking havvock when he gets there.

yes but where would be the fun in not being able to either mircowave or toast the enemy when the tank reaches right next to them but cant disembark.

Err with the attack bikes. And the scouts turning up behind the enemy in turn 3 or 4 or 2 to destory any of there serious anti tank weapons.

Oh know I remember its because I used to have 3 units of two attack bikes with a 3 multi melta's need to find something else to use points on.

who says that you can't pop the top hatch and have a passenger fire when you have a pintel mount? the pintel stormbolter entry in codex sm says the it is fired by a crewman, not a passenger, so you can still pull a 'drive by' with your special weapons.

Because the storm bolter takes up one of the hatches and as that is the only fire point once its covered you can't use it.

Rhino has a stormbolter...add a pintle mounted...and then have your passengers pop the transport bay hatch and open fire...half squad rule still applies...so you now have what...two stormbolters and (5?)squad members firing from the rhino?...works for me...

but one question...why lightning claws on the RP?

how does 1 access point go to 5?

And why not lightning claws he is going to be assaulting and not shooting as he will be calling strom caller whenever he can.

An access point does NOT determine the number of marines or such inside firing, merely the places they can fire from, and then you can have half the squad fire from that. It's confusing as hell, ain't it?
