| Conscript ![]() | is it possible to buy something that looks like a thrall for my Iron Priest, and call it a thrall? Or is it totally out of the game and illegal to use no matter what? Like using Servitors or something... Last edited by crazedgorilla; 10-15-2006 at 09:03 PM. |

Blog Entries: 3 | Essentially Thralls are indeed the Iron Priest's servitors, therefore using any model that does look like his little lackey will do, I do not believe anybody will mind much, or neither will they know or pay attention to the fact that the thrall you have is not the original.. Though I forget what thralls do for the game, hah. Now the more debateable question is - should you even field an iron priest or not? but that could be another subject ![]() Just go get some servitors, or let me know, I think I might have some. | Conscript ![]() | thanks alot Ikarus Dude! But, i use my iron Priest in a squad like relationship withmy venerable dreadnought. He is more for Repairs than attacks IMO. But thralls would be nice to have especially is i keep iron priest with Ven Dread. If someone goes into CC with Ven Dread, i have iron priests arm thingy(i forget what its called) Ven Dread's CC weapon and 4 thralls to finish them off....

Blog Entries: 3 | Yes that combination is possible, and it might make your ven dreadnought be repaired in immobile situations, but I would not fork out the points to do it. Total, that would cost 151 pts (4 thralls, base iPriest + servo arm) Now if you load out all the thralls to have some CC weapons, we approach an even greater problem, because you are forking over another chunk of points, in my opinion is such a waste. Points can be spent elsewhere on more efficient and effective units For Example:: If you are wanting resilientness or just more manpower, get 2x standard dreadnoughts, (equipped w/ dred wep + assault cannon?) total = 150 pts. More bodies = more power, and more surviability and effectness. IKARUS

| >> Thralls can only have ccw and power weapon combo. The power weapon costs +10pts. Dont think Iron Priests are worth it at the moment, as they to limited to what they can do. If you got a spare 80/85pts, whack him in with a unit of bloodclaws, add a bit of punch to the unit. Well, he wont be part of thye unit, but keep him close, so he can jump in with them. Just a few thoughts. ![]() |
