| The Omnissiah ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Space Marines are a good all round army, that have a good quality troop base, and some awesome models to go with it. Its been a few years since I played as space marines, and the rules have obviously changed, so i'm not that good with telling you the rules side of it. I'm sure 626 will tell you those soon. One of the cons i think is that many people shape their armies to counter the good points of space marine, and create Anti-SM armies. As Space marines are so popular, especially with beginners, this is quite logical. When i finished playing space marines, the new Rhino had just come out. Ive seen great additions and alterations to the models, especially the addition of better bits to the standard tactical squad, and the plastic scouts. After I have tamed the Hive Mind, I might try some Smurfs again. I'm sure Sm are a great army to play, as the Pros at least equal the Cons.

| hmmmmm... someone call my name?!! i'd wait of course untill the codex comes out in early march to start the DA's! the new codex has drastically changed the chapter's organisation - mainly the 5 man or 10 man only squads. (in fact, the new codex goes back more to 2nd edition organisation than anything!) i've heard many, many rummors about the ravenwing... the main being that they've lost their 'jink' save. but the secret to playing an all ravenwing force is overkill! take on only one or two enemy squads with your entire army! (and never throw your bikes into combat unless it's absolutely nescessary as loyalist bikers are not assault troops!) both ____wing armies are still playable in the forthcoming codex, you simply *must* include the 'master of ____wing' as your mandetory hq! i haven't seen then new 'dex yet, but hopefully the gw stores will soon be getting the 'customer copy' when the army box goes on sale so you can get a sneek peek at the new rules! cheers!
