cost; 100 pts

Troops: The Harbringers of Death; Warlock Kainan w/Shuriken pistol, Singing spear, Rune armour, Enhance.
11 Storm Guardians each w/Shuriken pistol, Close combat weapon.
cost; 131 pts

Troops: The Ancient Riders; 4 Guardian Jetbikes w/Twin-linked Shuriken catapults.
cost; 88 pts

Fast Attack: Shrine of the Raging Tempest; 4 Shining Spears each w/Laser lance & Jetbike w/Twin-linked Shuriken catapult.
Cost; 140 pts

Fast Attack: The Hunter; Vyper w/2x Shuriken cannon, Spirit stones.

Nice Choice cheap and very effective

Elites: Masquerade of the Desolate Thorne; Shadowseer w/Shuriken pistol, Close combat weapon, Flip belt, Holo-suit, Hallucinogen grenades. Veil of Tears.
5 Harlequins each w/Shuriken pistol, Harlequin’s kiss, Flip belt & Holo-suit.
Cost; 158 pts

Lose em entirely

Elites: Shrine of Burning Wind; Exarch w/Dragon’s breath flamer, Melta bombs.
5 Fire Dragons each w/Fusion gun, Melta bombs.
Cost; 108 pts
Transport: Wave Serpent w/Shuriken cannon, Twin-linked Shiruken cannon.
Cost; 110 pts

Not a bad choice, personally i would have gone with a falcon but to each their own

Troops: Song of Blades Shrine; 10 Dire Avengers each w/Avenger Shuriken catapult.
Cost; 120 pts

These guys have no aim, I'd drop em for a squad of pathfinders

Troops: Sunblade Shrine; 8 Dire Avengers each w/Avenger Shuriken catapult.
Cost; 96 pts

Again i would drop these guys, but i would go with guardian defenders with another shuricat catapualt and a warlock with conceal

Troops: The Children of Isha; 10 Guardians each w/Shuriken catapult. Eldar missile launcher
cost; 100 pts

I'd add a warlock with conceal

Troops: The Harbringers of Death; Warlock Kainan w/Shuriken pistol, Singing spear, Rune armour, Enhance.
11 Storm Guardians each w/Shuriken pistol, Close combat weapon.
cost; 131 pts

Very nice choice

Troops: The Ancient Riders; 4 Guardian Jetbikes w/Twin-linked Shuriken catapults.
cost; 88 pts

OOOOHHH YEA screen for the shining spears

Fast Attack: Shrine of the Raging Tempest; 4 Shining Spears each w/Laser lance & Jetbike w/Twin-linked Shuriken catapult.
Cost; 140 pts

Great fun

Fast Attack: The Hunter; Vyper w/2x Shuriken cannon, Spirit stones.
Cost; 70 pts

nice, but i'd make it a squadron of 2 or take 2 FA choices and field 2 of em

Heavy Support: Shrine of Woe; 5 Dark Reapers each w/Reaper launcher.
Cost; 175 pts

Glad you did not waste points on an exarch

Heavy Support: The Stalkers; 2 War walkers each w/2 Scatter lasers
Cost; 120 pts
Total pts: 1496

Nice Choice

i'm willing to change a few things, but there's others i want to keep for sure! (i could swap the clowns for something else, same a the vyper... however, i want to keep all the bikes!)

cheers!

very nice list stitch!

thanks! so the big question is, what do i do with the 158 pts from the clowns??! i was thinking perhaps a squad of 8 banshees?

the avengers are staying though as i really like them and i find them quite usefull... i might try and dig up the pts for an exarch in the 8-man squad w/bladestorm?! the idea being, the larger squad can then also act as a cover unit after the slightly smaller 8-man unit has unloaded everything... i also plan to stick the farseer into one of those units as well since DOOM! is only a 24" range

the dragons have their own serpent simply because i play alot of missions which use the escalation rule, thus it's much, much more reliable to take a dedicated transport... (the enemy won't have tanks on turn 1 anyways so the dragons can be a reaction force.)

i wouldn't mind trying wraithguard either though?! i love the models and T6 is damn tasty!
damnit, i hate choices!!!

cheers!

Wraithguard are Uber powerful, but you need to give em a warlock.

the end up standing there 1 turn a game avg otherwise.

Go with more defenders. or more avengers.

hmmmm... i could take either of the following;
8 banshees (128 pts) & exarch + bladestorm for 8 man avenger unit
OR
5 wraithguard + warlock (200 pts) and lose 1 reaper?

god i hate choices! i also need to think about what i can paint to display standard by spring too!!!

cheers!

Go for the banshees, they are just more CC oriented than the anything else you have up.

I would recomend the wraithguard, but they tend to be fire magnets.. IME.

Choice is really up to you, but if it was me painting to a display standard, i'd go with the banshees. they just have so much more detail. and the models are just more characterful.

well, after trying out a new colour scheme on DoW i think i have to agree that the banshees would come out better!
i'm thinking;
- deep brown helmet
- dark grey armour faded to bone trim
- orange/brown'ish hair
- deep yellow power toys

i'm trying to combine more earthy tones with the typical aspect colours...

cheers!

personally i like the earth tones better. IMO the GW standard is WAAAAYYYY too pink for something like a howling banshee
