| Extremis Diabolus ![]() ![]() ![]() | I'd say drop the Dire Avengers and go for two groups of guardians, and get some more specialized troops. Dire Avengers are great and all, but for now he should get used to the more specialized Aspect Warriors. I know GW is trying to bring Dire Avengers back, but franky, other untis are better. Or, you could drop the guardians altogether and go with dire avengers-only for troops.

1. Taking Spirit Stones and Runes of Witnessing on your Farseer. This gives him a better chance to get his Psychic Powers off, and lets him use two a turn (can anyone say "dead battlesuits"?) Even better is if an Ethereal is in a unit, target him, and watch the Tau run away like scaredy little girls! 2. On your second warlock, take Embolden. The re-roll of failed Leadership tests is priceless and has saved me games on many occassions. You might not think it is very worthwhile, but when someone makes a unit fail a leadership test to run off the board, and you re-roll it... then proceed to destroy their Land Raider... ![]() 3. Like I said, take a third warlock (you have to). On a side note, you might like to see that Warlocks and Farseers are NOT the same unit i.e. Warlocks aren't a retinue - you might like to try using them seperately if you need to. Quote:

Blog Entries: 1 | looks like a combination of the battleforce box and the farseer with warlocks box, am i right? hence the small unit of avengers? as such it should total out at somewhere between 750-1000pts. yes, i'd say that this is a good start to an army, and easily expandable with the aspect warrior boxes. this was my plan for an eldar army (before i was seduced by the new empire minis ), battleforce box, dire avengers box, some aspect warrior boxes. i was gonna run the avengers in 2 units of 7 and convert the spare one into a autarch as the hq.

back on topic: NileChild, do you have an idea of what kind of army you want? is it a particular craft world, one of your own making or what? the craftworld decision should dictate (to a certain extent) what you want to field in the army | |

| Trooper ![]() | I've yet to decide where i am going with this army, and it's on the backburner for now, cause i'm finishing my Tau force. i'll probably come up with my own craftworld because i don't really like any of the existing ones except maybe Alaitoc. and yes this is a combination of the battleforce and farseer/warlock box. i like the idea of two groups of 7 dire avengers and will probably go for that idea. As for expanding it I was looking into some striking scorpions and warp spiders(mostly cause i really like their models).
