 |  Fire Dragons I don't play as Eldar. But this question is to resolve a problem that me and my buddy have. He plays as the Eldar. From what he knows and he himself isn’t 100% sure how they work, but he claims Fire Dragons throw their melta bombs into a squad before they assault. He claims the make a small blast marker to. OVER KILL if you ask me. But I however know nothing about the Eldar so I can’t argue it. So my question is. What do Fire Dragons do when they assault, and what are their melta bombs for?

| in other words; go knock your mate on the head for not reading the rulebook proper and pulling crap outa his, er, you know!  as pointed out, melta bombs are anti-tank grenades plain and simple... if fire dragons end up in assault, then something's gone rather horribly wrong for them! cheers!

Blog Entries: 5  | Exactly, the only reason they should ever assualt is by firing a volley of melta shots into a tank and if that does not work, assualt and plant melta bombs on SIDE OR REAR ARMOR ONLY!!!!

it's a smart option because it help make the dragons self-suficiant, especially if you give them say a wave serpent w/2x shuriken cannons... the high ap of the fusion guns will knock out meq's as well as tanks, while the flamer can mop-up most of lightly armoured unit! (oh, and tau won't ever 'fish of fury' a dragon unit once you slap down the flamer template on them!) cheers!
