| now correct me if im wrong but SW can't take acro flagelants since they need a priest which counts as an HQ in our list whichwe can't take since our HQ have to be wolves.

Blog Entries: 1 | This might sound obvious but whenever there's a unit which excels in a particular role (Death Company in CC for example) then it's up to you to deny them the ability to use that advantage. If you focus fire on the Death company they shouldn't last long and then you can focus on the rest of the army. Shoot their cc units and charge the shooty ones. ![]() |

| Corporal ![]() | thats the thing. they re equipped with jump packs. he keeps a character close to them so they can be moved when and in the direction he wants them to. he can then hide them out of sight behind cover, hop out and charge. except last game i had more important targets. i still need more anti tank though. they achieved nothing. its only my combat weapons that actually blow vehicles up. unlucky.... |

Blog Entries: 14 | yea i'd suggest you drop the Long fangs, they did nothing all game. Replace them with a Grey Hunter(Tactical equipped guys) squad with meltaguns and a Razorback with twin linked lascannon. It will give you enough hurt on vehicles to blow them up, also dont forget the wolf scouts. -Petey

| Corporal ![]() | yeah wolf scouts are good but they arrive several turns in to the game which could be too late.eg against don where in the first three turns two vindicators blew chunks out of me army whilst my long fangs and venerable dread tooled for anti tank did nothing. i think i just need to equip the long fangs with 4 lascannons but then id lose the anti infantry of two plasma canons. grey hunters with meltas would be good but again too short range whilst the razorback is too fragile. 70 points and with it being one of the only vehicles in my army would attract most of the anti tank fire meaning it would blow up fast. a land raider on the other hand...... |

| heres what you do you buy two vindicators and have them support your blood claws with a rune priest and have your grey hunters focus fire to pin petey's troops down.

This is because i hide my important units behind my tanks and terrain until i decide to make a move, its not up to him to sort those threats out until were in combat and im putting some much needed hurt on his army. My shooting doesn't kill much and our games come down to who wins the combats and if he does go overboard on combat upgrades and gets rid of his shooting element i tend to shoot his best units to bits. All i can say is the Grey Hunter squad i suggested should work fine as long as you dont put them in the Razorback, use the Razorback as a mobile Lascannon platform and the Grey Hunters can then Run up the field providing a threat to my ever present armour values. Its either that or you fill you Long Fang pack with 2 lascannons and 2 plasma cannons, that may make me think a bit more then. -Petey

| Corporal ![]() | you say that but petey has a nasty habit of not knowing when somethigns overkill. ie charging a squad of blood claws with an honour guard dante and charging with another tactical squad before charging. the honour guard have what is it petey? 4 lightning claw attacks and 4 power fist attacks with another 12 normal? and then dantes attacks and the tactical squad with another sergeant with power fist. a furioso dreadnought on blood claws is harsh. and then the death company are jut harsh naturally. except last game when they charged the blood claws and were cut down. that was one time only though. that and i cant target anything that matters with anything that matters and appalling luck when penetrating vehicles causes me to lose. and peteys really jammy. |

hehe im not bragging im just telling it how it is, granted he does put a good bit of hurt on my army. The game usually comes down to well placed units and the will of the dice.Ill gladly play against you and your space wolves, then you may see i have a bit more going on upstairs in the tactical department thatn you probably think ![]() Also its only 3 Power fist attacks on the charge qwerty, it was the Lightning claw armed nutter that got you good last game, him and Dante just loved killing stuff last game Also not an Honour Guard, its a Veteran Assault squad of mild destruction.

| Corporal ![]() | for a supposedly blood crazed ba player his tactics are surprisingly sound. and in the 40k universe the ba would have suffered severely in that last game. the loss of corbulo and dante would be a grievous loss. i can claim some sort of morale victory..... |

Blog Entries: 1 | Of course! Whenever my Emperors champion dies I begin to play alot more cautiously due to it being a bad omen. But then I always recite the particular vow I choose before each battle to psych out the opponent ![]() Do you have a cc Dreadnought at all? |
