| Corporal ![]() | very important question is I play IG seath playes whichhunters sisters of battle version. he fields a callidus assassin in his force which has a special ability called word in your ear which states in the codex that they can move any one enemy model up to 6" whick keeping it in the normal deployment zone. Now in my army I field two officers upgraded with the macharian cross which states in part any unit within 6" of the officer may be redeployed 12" provided it stayes within the normal deployment zone. It also noted that the modification is done after all units are deployeed including infeltrators and scout movments( a spsific notation that is lacking in the whichhunters codex) the issue is we do not know which one makes there movment first. you can see of course y this is important. my thought is this. sence the callidus does not tell if it happens after infeltrating and scout movment it stands to reason it happens before which means my crosses movment is second. Is this correct? please do not say yes or no and not have a reason that makes sence. I apprecicate any offering of advise extended on this matter

Blog Entries: 1 | well as far as i can see both rules are saying the same thing, move one unit after deployment but before the first turn. in cases such as this where it isn't clear which one works first i'd say that it's fairest to dice-off for which one works first, ie. each roll a dice and the highest score uses the rule first or second. that's just my opinion though ![]()

| whenever you have two or more like abilities which conflict with eachother, use the 'holy dice-off' to decide which ability takes precidence. so, say on a 1-3, the callidus gets her 'word in your ear' ability second and on a 4-6 you get your macharian cross second. (note: i'm saying second because that's the real benefit here!) cheers!

Blog Entries: 5 | i'd say that no it makes no difference because the callidus does not specify when it takes place. detail or no, i'd say that the dice-off decides it. or you could call the rulez boyz.... LMFAO they wont know and if you want proof call one day then wait about 20 mins and call and ask the same question. you will get a different answer.

| Corporal ![]() | calles the rules guys just now they said the same thing that is being said here roll off makes sence.. they made one clarification which was if I field three of them and have to make my move first I make one move he gets his and then I get my other two. this means if I move unit and he moves the same one I can move it back (if he moves it within 6" on my officer.

| High Lord of Terra ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Another Suggestion is to follow the rules that Infiltrators use. ie: some senarios state the Infiltraters roll off some state that the player taking the first turn must set them up first, so on and so forth. Dice tend to hate me so if I can avoid rolling them then I do. Servo |
