Yeah, broodlord+genesneakers (gonna call `em that `till the next ork dex or `till i get bored) is deadly but so is the rest of the nid army

And they die faster than those blasted fexes

83% chance to damage after rend

9% chance of a shot causing damage
x4 shots
37% chance of an assault cannon causing damage

lacannon

66% chance to hit
33% to cause damage

22% chance for shot to cause damage
X1 shot
22% chance for lascannon to cause damage.

assault cannons are better at killing tanks than lascannon. Cant argue with the math. =/

Is there any army besides IG/Tau without the availability to take a unit with rending? I mean genestealers, and land speeders are the most obvious examples, but are there any others that really get under your skin?

So is the assault cannon a bad choice WITHOUT having the rending rule? I don't have a marine dex, but if it's anything like the Reaper cannon, it'd seem completely fine without rending.

From my point of view the most dangerous unit with rending is the Baal Predator, right after it the broodlord/geansneakers infiltrated combo

other than that, it`s cheesy, but not game winning in any way.

Genestealers are EVIL.

Broodlords are DOUBLE EVIL.... hate 'em

Every time I play against them... I shoot everything at them and hope that, somehow, I can kill enough of them to survive the assault phase...

Assault Cannons would not be a bad gun at all if rending was taken away from it- 4 shots, Str6 AP 4, still better than 3rd Ed. Ass-cannon with its 3 shots.
