wow very nice there!!! I esp like the Ork and Cadian sniper! You have got a a John Blanche style. I thumbed through his sketchbook at GD (very nice). Why dont you try doing one with one of the scratchy pens? (sorry for lack of technical terms)

I agree, especially on the ork head and such a style reminiscent of Blanche does show though.

BTW mart I think you are referring to charcoal pencils?

I was chatting to John Blanche and he was telling me he used a pen, I cant remember now I was looking through his stuff at the same time, but it was definately a pen, Juddski, might know when he comes back online, but I think it might suit Judds style.

Anyway that s his website, I am a particular fan of Blanche's work, I dont think anyone quite hits the 40K atmosphere as much as him.

pens Mart007? did he mention technical drawing pens?like rotory for fine lines? maybe?..the funny thing is all my GW drawing life since portent to the present time i've been assosiated with J.B.work
and altho'
i'll be the first to admit i'm not worthy to even be in his shadow artistically ,
i must admit *strangley*he's not my favourite artist at GW....i've been trying to get out of that style for years but i've now given up and succumbed to the inevitable, but again cheers all for the thumbs up

I think so, it may even have been dipping pen, I much prefer it when you embrace your natural style, which is remenisant of JB, but I think JB is a bit darker, it very good anyway.

Any chance you could work on an Ulthwe Farseer? around A4 size, and how much?

Out of interest, have shown GW any of these?

If not you should. You should send a in a sample of your black and whites and that last colour Ork. And DONT be modest!!!
[Edit] The first Eldar is really good, the second the helmet prooartions are a bit wrong, but hey it's not far off, you could nail it with a bit more practice, easy!

i did about .....*thinks back and counts on fingers*..ermm 10 years ago but they bascally said "thanks but no thanks".. but at that time i was drawing things like ....very R,T,ish

I'm suprised! try sending them Ork head1, the Chaplain, and the titan a.

The ones you sent them dont fit there style as much, They gotta notice those above ones I metioned defo! I can just se them in a dex or rule book Oh and the Necron orb.
