Blog Entries: 2 | I'm really beating myself up as to what I want to use for my 750 point army, but my problem is I have to many models i want to use! This is the list I'm toying around with. Emperor's Champion: 90 pts (can't decide on a vow) Chaplain: 95 pts (I find the options for the Black Templars Chaplains annoyingly confusing!) Troop choices: Crusader squad, 10 Initates, Bolters, 1 Missle Launcher Crusader seals. 190 Crusader squad, 10 Initates, Bolt pistols & Chain Swords, 1 Flamer, Crusader seals 186 pts Fast Attack: Assault Squad 5 Initiates, 1 Power Weapon and Storm Shield. 128 thats 689 points. I'm pretty certain that I can drop some troops for some tanks but i really need advice. Funky you can peak at this, I peaked at yours ![]() *UPDATE* I'm Dropping the Plasma Pistol and Adding in a Landspeederwith a multi-melta Points are now 749

Blog Entries: 1 | Switch the flamer in the Crusader squad for a meltagun or power weapon. As Stitch will tell you, if you flame the squad you intend to assault, you run the risk of killing all those in assault range. |

(perhaps another 'support' squad?!) a dreadnought w/assault cannon + rocket launcher is also fairly cheap, and is solid against pretty much anything you might encounter as well... neophytes can bulk-up your overall numbers, but keep your ratio to 2:1 between initiates:neophytes so the mixed armour rules don't screw you over too badly! cheers!

| I helped my templar friend work out a 750pt army, and I'll say the same thing. First off... the Emperor's Champion is amazing for his points. Stick him in a veteran squad (sword brethern) or a 10 man assault initiate squad and he will kick butt. The only Vow that is really worth anything IHMO is Accept Any Challenge, No matter What the Odds.... or whatever the one that makes you hit at 3+ in CC... I forget what its called (dont own the codex). Second off... in 750pts, you'll only need, unless you face an evil 'nid player who'll stick a Hive Tyrant, one missile launcher. Get a 5 man squad and and a neopythe just for scoring purposes. Finally... the chaplain is the way to go in Black Templars, so use one, definatly. A foot chappie w/ a command squad gets a vet. sarge, so that is good, however, if you are hurting for points, a smaller crusader squad will do good. Honesty... I'd something like 1 chappie, crozius, termie honors, bolt pistol 1 Emperor's champion 2 Crusader squads x 10 w/ either powerfists, powerweapons or melta guns, bp and ccw, frag 'nades if you have the points. 1 crusader squad x 5 w/ 1 neopythe, bolters and missile launcher And finally, if you have the points... take a Dreadnought, its good fire support and all around decent unit, stich's suggestion of Assault Cannon and Missle Lancher is good, IHMO.

Blog Entries: 1 | Yes, the EC will destroy most HQ units in CC. The Accept any Challenge, No Matter the Odds vow is great. If a Neophyte can hit a Chaos Lord in CC, how bad can it be?! just don't expect that Neophyte to kill anything! |
