Blog Entries: 4 | Crusade Name: think of it yourself, the crusade is always more enjoyable that way. Crusade MEmbers: umm i think anywhere between a fighting company to about 5 fighiting companies (like the back of the codex had about 4 including the marshall's households) so normal marine numbers :P mine was the Asmorof Crusade and had 140 marines organised as one fighting company under the marshal and his household (no sub-castellans)

| I named mine Macharian Crusade, for the heavy ammount of fighting they lent to the planet Macharia during the 13th Black Crusade in the Eye of Terror. The Black Templars in my force were involved with ship-to-ship boarding actions more than actual on-the-planet assaults. And fluff-wise (I did a lot of 40k planetary missions) the warriors on the planet surface all died when the planet was destroyed. Come up with your history however you want. You can draw from some part of your life and turn it into a massive battle on some distant world (for example, I got beat up in 7th grade by six kids, because I got uppity and pushed back when they insulted me, so I could make part of my Crusade history that early on as a neophyte, Tigurio Falzone (my Castellan) took great offense when another Neophyte mocked him, insulting his parentage and intelligence, struck his brother recruit, and was subsequently tackled/beaten by several Neophytes. Afterwards, a council of Sword Brethren placed the others in solitary confinement without food for three weeks. Or I could turn something I see in the news into a part of my crusade's history. Such as oh, I don't know... Planet Kori eh. In the northern hemisphere of said planet, planetary Governor Jong Im Kill has risen to power as a General of the PDF, and when he comes to power, he begins to threaten the rest of the Imperium with deep-core-powered nova-cannons (imagine nova cannons that shoot out from the core of the planet using planetary core heat to power the guns). After a testfired shot which explodes halfway between Kori Eh and Je Pon, failing to reach its projected firing range, the Black Templars decide the planet is impossible to get close enough to assault, so they fire a swath of Cyclotronic missiles from a distance, each carrying the capacity to start a chain reaction that would destroy all of Kori Eh. Cha Nea, another neighboring planet and an ally to Kori Eh sends a complaint to the Inquisition to investigate the Black Templar's seemingly eager use of Exterminatus. |

| best way to come up with background - have a read through history books (especially those focusing on the crusades and the knightly orders such as the templars, teutonic knights, knights hostpitlar and such!) other great sorces for background are any and all ancient mythology books and reading up on the wars and civilisations upto and through the dark ages! (the bloodier the period, usually the better )cheers!
