So i'm really Excited about my Landraider Crusader & land Radier but the Question comes up, which is better for shooting and enemy which lacks lots of heavy armour?

The Crusader. It is the best anti-personelle tank in the game. It destroys lightly armoured infantry and can lay down enough fire power to do a decent amount of damage to heavily armoured infantry.

the basic land raider can take on multiple threats. it's twin-linked lascannons will make a mess of armoured targets while the twin-linked heavy bolters can thin out a bit of infantry.
it also can transport either 10 power armoured space marines or 5 terminators.

the crusader is purely anti-infantry aside from that multi-melta! plus, all of it's weapon systems are short to mid ranged guns. (ie: everything is 24" range or shorter!) still, infantry will cower before the crusader as once it hit's rapid fire range it really starts to shine!
it can also transport upto 15 power armoured space marines or upto 8 terminators.

both land raiders have assault ramps so you can disembark & assault, but the crusader also comes with frag assault launchers which allow a squad charging out of it to count as having frag grenades!

cheers!

The Crusader is amazing at breaking enemy infantry lines. The hurricane bolters have 36" range and a massive amount of shots making it great for tear through infantry squads. And once you get into the 24" range the multimelta and twin linked assault cannons can really put a hurting on heavy infantry or tanks, I have seen the crusader take out multiple squads of terminators and even a monolith with its melta/ assault cannon combo. Not to mention it can hold a great deal of heavy infantry inside of it.

Hope you have fun with your new tanks.

hurricane bolters are simply counted as 3 twin-linked bolters/sponson. thus they are still only 24" range!
also, the assault cannon cannot hurt a monolith due to it's 'living metal' rule. the only hope is a lucky shot with the multi-melta!

cheers!

If you are worried about enemy tanks then focus on other units can take them out and still go for a Crusader.

cheers!

i know of the Terminus variant....only others are helios (AA) and promethus (command) besides the crusader and normal...
the terminus has 2 single las sponsons, 2 twin linked las sponsons, and 2 twin linked hull mounted las

@Dan, the Terminus Ultra is the correct suffix for the Terminus pattern

hmm, terminus vs. LRC, i'd still go for LRC. anything that has two assault cannons is a go for me :] haha. another reason it's so desirable [to me at least] is cause it just looks...so...cool. come on, which other tank bristles with bolters, meltaguns and assault cannons ? :]

it's a twin-linked assault cannon actually.

one way though to improved your odds of rending hits, is to always use the machine spirit's infirior BS2 for the ass-can. twin-linked means you'll still hit fairly often, but there's a much greater chance of rolling those 6's!

cheers!

The only thing you shouldn't have the PotMS fire is the multi-melta! Everything else is twin linked, unless you take a pintle mounted storm bolter as well!
