| http://forum.specialist-games.com/to...TOPIC_ID=13457 The basic premise is to take a day next year when we get various GW and independent gaming stores to let us organize local mini-campaigns, participation games, demo games and suchlike. It's like a WHW meet-up, but without the inconvenience of having to travel to Nottingham. I'm looking for volunteers to agree to help with the coordination and for suggestions as to good dates. Also, if you could ask your local GW hobby centre manager if he'd be agreeable, it would be useful to know which stores not to approach at all. I don't have any brief against managers who don't like Specialist Games for whatever reason, I just don't want to waste their time. R. |

| The Witchhunter ![]() | i can have a word with Nick at Hull for you, but to be honest, i think the guys on the SG forum have a point, saturdays are unlikely. other considerations are that it isn't really a game for the younger ones due to its complexities, summer is campaign season (easter may be better - especially on an evening), as said on SGF this isn't really going to be a long term interest for most people. generally speaking it isn't winning as many new players as the main 3, nor even Blood Bowl from what i can tell. |

Blog Entries: 5 | i've always been interested in taking a peek at =][=.. But all my resources are tied into 40k at the moment, and i've no one around me to show me how to play, nor the time to learn it on my own.

Blog Entries: 4 | I've heard that some find it easier to play inquisitor using 40k scale models...and a little rejigging of rules, but I've never seen it done.

| Sergeant ![]() | It's not really any "easier" so to speak, it's not even necessarily especially cheaper if you still want to customise your models. And a lot of 40k terrain is still perfectly usable for inquisitor at 54mm. The only true advantage to playing in 25mm rather than 54mm is if you want characters with run-of-the-mill standard weapons and easy access to plenty of ready-made NPCs. And no rejigging of the rules is necessary to play in 25mm, all measurements are given in yards for Inquisitor - which at 54mm is roughly and inch, and at 25mm is usually taken to be 1cm. SBE: 40K scale is actually 28mm not 25mm small but important... like this message

Blog Entries: 4 | something to do with a character using all of their actions to sprint across the board I believe was the issue raised, but I was only half listening.

| Nothing wrong with that. 10 yards per Action. Let's say 5 Actions - pass all your Action rolls and you get to sprint 50 yards (50"). Given that a round represents about 10 seconds, that's pretty reasonable. Of course, sprinting has to be in a straight line and you can't do anything else at the same time. R. |
