| Corporal ![]() | well I never gave them much thought but now I feel like buying some. I understand that warhammer is more of a tactical formation game but some of those models look awesome. Should I open yet anonther money sucker? If I do I'm most interested at the Bretonnians because I like their King Arther Theme.

| brets are a cool looking army but they are pritty much a one trick pony. but that one trick is very powerfull i found painting all those knights was goin to be a very painfull ecperience. so i desided on a diferent army lol. i have just resently started accualy playing and yes its very very tactical and rule heavy. a very different experience from 40k. witch im thankfull for. the best way i have found to describe it is that its a very detailed game.

| the brets are a neat army, but you'll have a bit of a learning curve with them in order to get them to really shine! (ie: the empire, dwarves & high elves have far easier learning curves!) the main thing you'll need to learn is; a) how to properly support your charge. you can't hit piecemal because your knights are not effective in subsiquient combat rounds... you need to inflict maximum damage with your charge! b) how to protect your flanks. the lance formation, while insanely powerfull, is insanely weak defensively! while your knights can hold out for a turn or so against opponents who have S4 or less, if they also get hit in the flank, you can say 'bye-bye'...cheers!

Blog Entries: 1 | Bretonnians, as said by Experiment 626 (*Hastily throws a human sized biscuit to the far side of the room to distract Stitch momentarily*) are an incredibly annoying army to start off with. They are (as God said) a one trick pony who is INSANELY POWERFUL. But it takes some getting used to. Don't underestimate an Enchantress lvl 2 with the Lore of Beasts with The Bears Anger spell (The bane of lightly armoured troops and can even take down an empire captain with some luck). However, if this is your first time venturing into fantasy, then it might be worth going with a much easier army to play. The empire is FAR easier to learn and has access to great cavalry as well so you can get used to cavalrys annoying rules. But ultimately it is your choice. Personally i would recommend Dwarves, but i am seriously biased having about 4000 points of dwarfs in two cases and several drawers. Either way make sure you are happy to paint the models and are dead set on the army before you start pouring money into it and then realising "You know, I like those guys instead!" Good luck and Welcome to the world of Fantasy.
