|  im thinkin of starting a fantasy army so i think im gona make the step into WFB. im not to shure on what army i want to play. bretonnian, chaos, or orc's are my front runners, possably skaven or dwarveas. dont know much about any of the fluff for fantasy. so if anyone has suggestions hook a brotha up! oh and copies of any of these dexes would be cool if possable. thanks

|  I got a few Orc units way back (fall of 03') when i got the bulk of my IG army. Then last summer got the new warhammer boxed set (come to think of it i got the fantasy, 40k, and lotr box sets) and it upped my green skin army, and started me off with some dwarfs. So you can't go wrong getting the starter kit.

| Starter kits are great... they are really worth it as the rule book and terrain alone are probably worth the value of the box. After that... just pick an army that you like the look of, or perhaps would enjoy the play style.

I completely agree with that. gives you enough equipment to play small games, extra models for, well, whatever, and the portable version of the rulebook (which i bought both the 40k starter set and fantasy starter set for, even though nothing else in the box interested me much except extra dice) Also, although I'm not usually one to pass up an opportunity to convert someone to the cause of the Druchii, I can see that you're not interested in elves much ( =/ ) so I'd say tell us a bit more about your playstyle (tactics, theme, etc) and hobbystyle (paint lots, paint few, paint big, paint small) and such and i'll speak a bit more. (though my post is sizeable) based on no info, however, I'd say go orcs!!! WAAAAGH!

| well as far as play i think the coolest thing in fantasy is the flanking cavelry charge. one reason im leaning tward bretonnians or chaos. ive decided as much as i like how cool orc armies are. they are just too popular. and as cool as all the dwarf warmachines they seem to defensive. a skaven horde still seemes cool. though painting a huge horde of rats sounds scarry to me.

| yes after a good brainstorming session with DC yesterday, and after a day to think about i think im gonna do a bretonnian army with a hint of nurgle coruption, the fluff will go something along the lines of: aragus isamond led his band of knights after the trecherous thieves that stole his families birth right (insert some artifact or rellic attatched to the grail) deep into the chaos wastes. ther they campained for years in ther rabid chase of the elusive thieves, fighting many batles along the way. in ther relentles chase they mercaless to anyone that stood in ther way and cared little for the wounded who eather kept up or laged behind and died alone. finnaly after a long and bloddy campain the caught up with the theves and executed them brutaly for ther crimes. after regaining ther rellic they began the long journey home. apon ther exit of the chaotic lands it was aparent that ther was a taint of coruption. father nurgle had left him make, though the men did not seem to notice. ok well that all i got fo now. seems like it will be fun and i can use some very sutle conversions. ide like to maybe GS the horse bellies so they look bloated, and do something with ther healm orniments, and paint the armor all rusty and tarnished. what do you guys think im not sure on the color scheem

| haha yeah hairy, but mu original thought was zeench, but it would be to dificult to work the magic into it. almost did khorne wich would fit the fluff as well but nurgle just sounds best. and later down the road if they do fall to the taint they bear then ill get the chaos dex and some plague bearers and play em as a chaos army. who knows perhaps they will be able to overcome the taint and redeem themselves. man this would be a fun campain army lol
