300 Space Marines - 40K Terra

So what do you all think? Think you can come up with a 300 space marine scenerio? I don't play them so I don't know how tough you can make them, but I guess there's a possiblity.

300 Space Marines... there's a chapter master and two captains at least. Maybe a chaplain. Total points estimate I'd give it about 70,000 because it would be just that much for basic marines, upgrades, terminators, commanders and retinues... plus vehicle support and what not.

Oh, and then pit them against the same value per each of every army out there that's an enemy to the Imperium.

rules wise, you could alwasy scale it down a bit, say like 30 marines against an enemy using the sustained attack scenario rule so they get to recycle their troops. put the marines in some defendable terrain in the middle of the board and have at it!

not as impressive as a third of a chapter maybe but a lot more do-able

why not have say 2000 points of space marines and 4000 of orks and if the space marines win they get a +1 ws and a +1 bs but the orks hane 6000 points and so on
could be a fun campan

u can do 100 space marines in 1500 points. they are bare bones but its hard to argue with 100 3+ saves at that point score. play that aginst a njid swarm army and you basicaly have the movie

Well, I actually have 279 marines at my command at this time, but that's including captains, chaplains, a librarian, a techmarine, a few support vehicles and about 20 termies. I love them all and can max out more than 2 FO charts. Total, it runs me about 30,000 points. I love using 'em but got kinda tired of similar units so moved on to a new army. I'll get 'em to 3 full companies and support eventually. Always remember, a company of 100 doesn't count the captain, his retinue, the specialists (apothecary, techmarine, Chaplain, Librarian), or any of the pilots.
