Default Armoured Company?

I was told the other day by a GW manager that my Armoured Compnay list is no longer valid and can not be used in tournaments.

Is this true?

Should i just incorporate the vehicles into my regular imperial guard list?

do you mean the ones thata were in white dwarf a while back?

anyway just use IA 1 rules they are nearly the same

Woo there is no way that the rules from the new lists are the same.

What happens is that the Armourned company is still disputed.

Rumor has it that GW is allowing the Armoured Company from Imperial Armour Vol. 1 within the Grand Tournement, however they rarely and never have White Dwarf armies in the tournements.

You should double check whether or not its the White Dwarf, or the list from the Imperial Armour Vol. 1 that is illegal to use.

Also GW, or whoever is running the tournement makes up the rules as to what is used and not used. Whether or not an armoured company can be used will always vary between tournements.

Its best to call ahead, and double check prior to the tournement if an Armoured Company list from either White Dwarf or IA can be used.

Finally, Heck Yea! I would use tanks from Armoured Company lists within your normal guard list.

Sorry what i meant was, should i disolve my Armoured company and just have a huge imperial guard army. I currently have a regular imperial guard army and an armoured company.

I don't know if disolving the Armoured company is called for. I mean you can always make up some fluff that they two deatchments have been thrown together due to heavy losses so they now have formed a temporary mechanised Infantry force until further orders are given from HQ.

Basically I wouldn't repaint your force or anything. If your store temporarily says no AC in Tournys, then let them be... well I will keep it civil for now... Any way, you should have no problems finding friendly games where you can use your AC. Or try and find a game using the Apocalypse rules so that you can fight with both your forces at the same time.

Just my two cetns,

He has a good point I mean why dissolve it, and at any rate, do what i suggested and include a Vanquisher into your normal guard list for that extra fighting power! It couldnt hurt
