| I'm making a Malal-themed army, and instead of restricting it to "Black Legion with the dreadaxe" I've decided to make a full-fledged book of chaos for him the best compilation of all the fluff on him I've found is here I would suggest that you look it over before reading the rest of this post. so, on to business (I'm modeling the format off of khorne, because he is first in the codex and I think that they are all done the same way) I'll need to actually write a story thing about him, which I'll do tomorrow, along with a 5 page essay on procrastination, to go in italics Mark of Malal The mark of Malal can be bestowed upon an Independent Character for +10 pts or to every model in a unit for +5 points per model. a model with the Mark of Malal is grimly determined and will stop at nothing to succeed in their mission, no matter what the cost. They are considered fearless and have Shame Fury and True Grit Shameful Fury Though they Believe they are right, worshipers of Malal may come to grips with what they have become if they see another worshiper. In order to fight all forms of chaos, they will sometimes attack former allies in order to cleanse the taint from themselves. If, at the end of a movement phase, a model with shameful fury is within 3 inches of another model of a different unit with Shameful Fury, pick on of the two units, that unit must pass a leadership test or assault the other unit. If victorious, if cannot advance, only consolidate. True Grit Malal worshipers are fiercely determined and will stop at nothing to gain an advantage over their enemy. Many will submit themselves to rigorous training doctrines, many of which make them more resistant to recoil. Because of this, all models with the Mark of Malal may add a "pistol grip" to their bolters, which means they can be fired with a single hand (and the rest of true grit, in the book of nurgle) Soul Burn At the end of the game, every surviving enemy unit that has suffered casualties from a unit with the Mark of Malal must roll one D6. On a result of a 1 or a 2, the surviving members of the unit count as casualties for victory points purposes. Vehicles of Malal A vehicle Dedicated to Malal has the Possession ability. This costs +40 pts. a Defiler may not have this ability. Possession All vehicles with the possession ability automatically have the Daemonic Possession upgrade and the Parasitic Possession upgrade Armour of Malal possibly a better Dreadaxe or something? doomed ones as followers, which would be obliterators with +1 wound (because they are like, dead) limit to one per character for some huge ammount of points... 80? 75? please help me with this one! (I have no Ideas with this one, any suggestions would be appreciated) The Tainted Light *named so because it's my army, if you have a better Idea (not the sons of malice), please suggest it (I'll write this fluff tomorrow as well, don't worry) Playing a tainted light army If you want to use a pure Tainted Light Army you must adhere to the following limitations.
Kaleb Daark (fluff... man am I lazy) ______Points___WS_BS_S_T_W_I_A_Ld_Sv_ Kaleb....220........7...5...3..5..5..7..3.10.5/4+ A Chaos Space Marine army may include Kaleb as long as it also includes as least one squad bearing the Mark of Malal. If you decide to take him then they counts as one of the HQ choices for the army. he must be used exactly as described below and my not be given extra equipment from the Chaos Armoury. Wargear and Gifts: Dreadaxe, Body Weapons, Daemonic Steed, (some other Malal wargear) Special Rules Weapon Mastery: Kaleb has been fighting with the Dreadaxe since long before the Emporer rose to power. over the millennia has has mastered its use. In close combat, his opponents WS is ignored and all his attacks always hit on a roll of 2+ Dreadaxe thirsts for you!: Kaleb Charges into battle issuing his mighty warcry, and has become symonimus with death. All enemy units within 12 inches of Kaleb automatically fail all moral checks. Inflitrate Kaleb works alone most of the time and has become adept at stealth. He is counted as having the infiltrate special rule

| I like Malal very much. As such, I applaud you for taking this project upon yourself. anyhoo... First off, I really like shameful fury. Unfortunatly, it is a major disadvantage. As such, i think those marked should recieve an additional benefit. Allow me to make a suggestion: Fearless (obviously) Soul Burn: At the end of the game, every surviving enemy unit that has suffered casualties from a unit with the Mark of Malal must roll one D6. On a result of a 1 or a 2, the surviving members of the unit count as casualties for victory points purposes. Also...i have another suggestion. Because the forces of Malal are often weak and under foot, they may often have to make deals with forces they would normally not. As such, they may include ONE unit without the Mark of Malal, though they may not have any other mark. I have one final suggestion: Malal does not have any greater daemons aligned to his power. Instead, he relies on immensly power non-daemonic minions to od his bidding. As such, characters with the Mark of Malal may have up to 200 points of wargear rather than the normal 150, and 100 of those points may be spent on daemonic gifts. Hope these help or inspire you to new ideas, R_B
