| Extremis Diabolus ![]() ![]() | The fluff on the Phrall is here: The Phrall This thread is for the sole purpose of developing the Phrall as a viable, original and interesting army for use in Warhammer 40,000. It has been suggested by JoeGuardsman that younger Phrall are smaller and quicker, and thus more CC-oriented, and the older slower and more shooting-oriented. I happen to like this idea: as the Phrall get older, they get bigger and slower, adding on more and more to keep their spirit alive within their mechanical shell. Thus, they prefer to shoot their enemies as they cannot get to grips very quickly for close-combat. One concept I had to make the Phrall unique play-wise was that they would all be multi-wound models and have pretty good stats. This makes them expensive but durable, and always severely outnumbered. However, I think this might be too close to Grey Knights in concept, except for the multiple wounds. So, I'm looking for a unique gaming-concept to give them. The one unit that was given praise was the "Flight of Gryphon Constructs": WS4 BS3 S6 T4 W2 I4 A3 Ld8 Sv3+ 3-7/squad Moved as jump troops, Fleet. Could choose one weapon from the armoury (either CC ro ranged) Suggestions, thoughts, suggestions, ideas, comments, critiques, etc. welcome.
