| Trooper ![]() | Ok, I checked and was shocked to see that no-one had even tried to resurect these guys. I've already started working on an army list and armoury, but my resources in terms of background and stat examples are limited. I really want to make a list that's in tune with the latest 4th ed. rules, and is believeable. That's where I'd like you guys to come in. If any of you have ideas about what should be included, in terms of equipment, units, and special rules, please post them. I'm going to be working around the idea, that a few communities survived the 'nid attacks, and have slowly been increasing in numbers. They're isolationist, have a view of technology having to improve, AND NO SILLY "BIKER" STYLE. Please don't make posts like: "Squats suck" or "Why are you bothering?" If you can't make constructive criticism about options (NOT the Squats themselves) then don't post. Initial Ideas HQ: Lords, Guild Engineers, Living Ancestors Elites: EVO armour, Berserkers, Hearthguard Troops: Warriors, Miners Fast attack: Bikes (Not the "Biker" Squats) Heavy support: Thunderers (Like Dev squads), Mole mortar, Thudd gun (Don't forge world have rules for these?) Any and all ideas are very welcome.

| Trooper ![]() | In some of the previous lists I had a look at, the berserkers were the assault specialists, not crazed Khorne worshippers. They'd be armed with Close combat weaponry. Think assault squads, but no jump packs, and las weaponry. The Living Ancestors were the token Psykers of the old lists. They were often weaker due to their age, but their physical toughnes was even greater. They had access to a few powers that would augment squads or blast the enemy. 0-1 I'm thinking, not many left. ---------------------------------------------- Add-On Commentary: Speaking of the Berserkers, does anyone have any ideas. Nothing to do with Khorne, they're not chaos worshippers. Here's what I have so far. Plasma weapons are more expensive because I got rid of the "gets hot" rule. Berserkers Berserker squads are made up from attack squads of the most ferocious hand to hand fighters in the Stronghold. Berserkers are courageous and fierce Squats, accustomed to fighting in the cramped confines of mine tunnels and attacking the enemy at close quarters. Name Points WS BS S T W I A LD Sv Berserker 20 4 3 4 4 1 2 1 8 6+ Champion +15 4 3 4 4 1 3 2 9 6+ Number/Squad: 5-15 Berserkers Weapons: Bolt pistol and Close combat weapon, Frag grenades. Options: Any model may replace their bolt pistol and close combat weapon with two bolt pistols at +2 pts (fire together with the same effect as twin-linked bolt pistols). Up to three models may replace their bolt pistol and close combat weapon with: power weapon and bolt pistol at +10 pts, power fist and bolt pistol at +15 pts, plasma pistol and close combat weapon at +10 pts, flamer at +6 pts. One Berserker may be upgraded with Runic honours at +15 pts to become a Champion. Champions may select equipment from the Squat armoury.

| Ummmm Khadhar'phak... You might wanna scroll down on the listings here because your not the only nor the first to post squat rules . Squat Comando <<<<<<<--------(Hes a big squat fan) has some nice squat rules that seem to be decently accurate and we use them all the time. They are very balanced and seem to accomodate the traditional style very well. If your trying to make up your own house rules then I'm sorry I didn't understand you correctly. I don't think the squats had bezerkers.Still might be a good idea for custom stuff though... Good luck. If you uncover any squat info that you don't think we have please tell me or Squat Comando as he would love to know. |

| Trooper ![]() | Ah, but I searched... oh well. Meh. Send me a link to his/hers if you ever come by this thread again. And you're more likely to have info then I am ^^; (only 3 years in this hobby) I almost finished my list as well.
