Default khornate zombies

I've been sitting on this idea for a while, since i re-saw return of the living dead. i think the idea of khornate zombies would be awesome, but obviously some rules would needed and i don't know how to approach it. so what would be some ideas that i could work with?
thanks

hmm...this would be kind of tough, because generally khornes followers are a swift moving, powerful assault force. zombies are slow and have little to no martial skill at all. they rely on their numbers. why not just use khornite cultists? thats pretty much the same thing, and would make more sense.
zombies in the 40k world are usually plague zombies, the dominion of nurgle. like the mass risen dead before the 13th black crusade? a plague.

well, in return of the living dead, they run, talk(mostly about eating brains, but it counts), and can't really be killed except by total annihilation of the body, which seems very khornish to me. that is something i'd like to replicate in the game, a horde of sprinting, blood thirsty corpses.

I would go about it by underpowering the stat line, but giving them the Beast movement rules (Minus Fleet) and maybe as an upgrade (possibly) Furious assault. Then you have zombies, but tastily (sp?) Khornate

What about animinosity. Being Korn they want to fight anything and everything. Being zombies they are not very smart.

That's a good idea. What about these as upgrades for them:
Knives: counts as carrying 2 hand weapons
Slash, Munch: Furious assault
Runners: Loses beast movement, but gains fleet.

Well maybe not the furiouse assault rule but they could come with Collars of Korn standard so the get their frenzy on a roll of 1 or 2. This also might explain why they have risen they way they did.

Being zombies they would of course have Feel No Pain and being Khornite, possibly 2 attacks basic.

... and also Fearless, as they have no sense of self preservation. They're dead already!

just use the rules for khornite mutants in the eye of terror codex. seriously. zombies are the realm of nurgle. khorne wants his dead drained of blood and headless, piled in front of his throne.
i just think that its not khornite and wouldnt make sense fluff-wise.

have any of you seen return of the living dead? its not that old. granted they are a different variety from your classic romero type, but legitimately dead and khornate. i'm even working on a short story about how these creatures came to be.
thanks for ideas by the way

Where would the fun be in that? Besides, think of them as more like flesh puppets to be used for searching for heads. There you go. Fluff.

What youre talking about is not so much Night of the Living Dead but a film called 28 Days Later. Set in the United Kingdom in about 2002, the film concerns the breakdown of society following the release of a plague known as "Rage" which almost instantly locks those who are infected by it into zombie-like creatures, a state of irreversible hyperactivity and murderous insanity.
Man these Zombies are fast, they charge everywhere and just want to kill and they are created by a plague known as the "Rage" how very Khornate!!
You should watch it,its quite a scary premis for a film.
Check out this page HERE especialy the bit about the infected!

I saw 28 days later in theaters, i enjoyed it alot. however, without ranting too much off subject, not really true zombies(I'm a zombie purist). I see what your are saying and agree that it could make for more credible khornate zombie. all that to the side, Return of the living dead is a superb, if not off beat, somnabulist flick, released in 1985. Its not connected to night of the living dead by any means, except by a copy write snafu in the late 60's.
Back to topic, either movie would give you a good idea of what i would like my khornate zombies to act and maybe look like.
