| Soldaten ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Here is a mission I conjured up while I was bored take a look: Unleash the Flood Gates Two armies converge on a lonely field ravaged by thunderous rain and war. Even as new growth reaches from the muck the battle is joined.Take the High Ground! A lone Sergeant yells Objective: Take the high ground. There are multiple pieces of terrain, depending on the size of the board and or the size of the game. The player with the most scoring units within range of the terrain scores that piece. Being within range means a part (though not the majority) needs to be within cover, meaning that they score a cover saves by being in there. Special Rules: Its raining Cats and Dogs: It is almost flooding; in most areas water is as high as your troops. Though you manage to still fight on! Every unit is moving as though they are in difficult terrain. Units that already count as moving through difficult terrain, i.e. Orks in Mega Armour. You do not need to make a difficult terrain test when assaulting. Chimeras and other amphibious tanks do not count as moving in difficult terrain and can move normally. On a side note: Units can choose to “Submerge” themselves within the water and gain a 4+ cover save. However, role a d6 on a 5 or 6 the unit gets too caught up trying to be within the water, not get washed away, and still be combat ready. As a result they are unable to shoot, and can only assault as though they are moving in difficult terrain. Hellish Winds: Before each turn player’s turn role a d6 on a 6 hellish winds pick up throwing around the rain and debris. As a result your units cannot see as well and fight as though they are in night fight. |

| Corporal ![]() ![]() ![]() | Good idea you have here, It would be bad to submerge your army and have most of it sweeped away but anyway it adds to the tactics of the mission.

| How about adding areas of Dangerous terrain representing craters filled to the brim with thick mud that your men could drown in as they sludge through it. (Not a nice way to die but it happened a lot in WW1 trenches.)

| Your Local Ori Prior ![]() ![]() | Hm. That sounds very interesting! I think the dangerous terrain areas would be nice because this is 40k and there are such things as craters in the battlefield from heavy weapons fire, artillery, and orbital bombardment!

Blog Entries: 1 | how about a simple mod to your submerged rule then? on a roll of 6 they can't shoot, on a roll of 1 they take a casualty as someone drowns or gets washed away. anything else they act normally.
