I can't remeber any of the stragems... sheesh.

Anybody here remeber the old robot rules from RT? Where you made a flow chart and had a certain number of commands you could execute?

wow, robots! now theres a blast from the past. iirc, depending on the level of sophistication in their programming you had to write down what they were going to do 1,2 or even 4 turns in advance. crazy stuff.

and peturabo, you forgot to mention that the defense laser had a 5 inch radius area of effect!!!

how about the old psyinics from rt? 4 levels of power. level 1 = todays epistolery or farseer, level 4 = emperor on prosac!!!

Lol! were like Cohen the barbarian, not knowing when to quit!

Yeah, 3 wargear cars usually equalled = jump pack, vortex grenade, big forcefield.

anyone remember the transparent targeting chart from 1t edition? you placed it over the ehicle drawing then rolled 2x2d6 to see which location the shot hits. ive still got mine and its in pristine condition (it was never used)

d'you my fave thing about the ol' rt book? the little bit at the back that contained plot lines and story hooks. there was one in there somewhere about a cult that believed a giant pudding would decend from the sky to make life better for everyone. i used to laugh everytime i read it.

rep for anyone who can post it up fer me.

I'm 19 and I feel old!

And I am really glad they toned down psychic powers. In 2nd Ed they were way to powerful.

I miss all the different templates for everything though...
And the tricked out heroes...

But apart from that I really like 4th Ed

But you see, i don't as much of a kick out of using Pshycic Powers i did back then. Nowadays the only good Librarian power that can be used to pack some serious punch is the 'Vortex of Doom' (It's true. Was facing an Army of Orks, who won despite this, anyway. Army of Orks, and was getting pwned. Looted Leman Russ had only just been taken down after it had taken down an entire stranded Tactical Squad, and my Razorback. Moved my Librarian within 12" of his Warboss and BOOM, Vortex of doom, pulled him and 6 of his unfortunate Nobs into the pits of the warp.. nubs)
But still, it doesn't pack so much a punch as blow up everything in sight using your mind :P

Ahem...

"As the govenor of a hive world you find it difficult to keep order at the best of times. Things have been getting worse since a madman started a new religion based around the premise that a vast floating pudding would appear to life better for everyone - the people have stopped working, even the military has been affected and you cant rely on your own staff anymore. Yesterday you caught your own mother reading a pamphlet entitled " the Pudding is coming-Ten reasons you should beleive" today the prophet of this insane religion the Rev. Jeronimo Kipling, will be conducting a whistlestop tour of the run down city district of tumbletown. You have positioned a special unit to attack and kill him. The troops are dressed in civillian gear as you intend blaming the whole thing on a rival religious group (possibly the Anadentists or the Church of the Lucid Shirt Button). The Target will be surrounded by the usual bodyguards and mobs, and his vehicle may be well protected"

They dont write 'em like that anymore!
