Blog Entries: 1 | If wolfie wants to do that, that will be the next scenario. I believe he is thinking of another battle, I cant find anything on the Trang. It's wolfie's call. But first, help me finish the Hail Mary guys! I still need to the forces and points limit.

Blog Entries: 1 | What ever you decide, wolfie, we'll help as best we can. Now, help me finish this one so we can send it out. This is what we got: Maybe this should be an Apoc battle. The goal for the attacker is to make a quick flanking move to get past the defender to capture an objective (ideals anyone?) The defender must stop the attack before this happens. The Forces : Defender - 8 tanks, 3 squads of infantry? The defender's tanks are dug in, and immobile the entire game. Being so, they always count as Hull Down. The defender's infantry may move freely. Attacker- 6 tanks, 4 squads of infantry, must be mounted in armour. ??? The Mission : Meatgrinder? The goal for the attacker is to make a quick flanking move to get past the defender to capture an objective (ideals anyone?) The defender must stop the attack before this happens. The terrain : a fortified zone running half way accross the middle of the table, say 12"-24" wide, with relatively clear tarrain on that side of the board. The other side of the table is full of terrain that forces difficult/dangerous terrain tests. For a normal 40k game the ojbective could be to get scoring units into the clear half og the board behind the fortified zone, for apoc just place all the objectives in that area. The Objectives: Ammo dump, Relic contained within a shrine. The Deployment :The defender will deploy on the fortifications and their reserves would come on from the short board edge that it joins. The attacker would deploy from one of the long edges on the first turn and would have to choose whether to brave the gunline or risk the desert. Scenario Rules : Dusk and Dawn. ??? Above is what I have so far. I need some objectives guys! We need to determine the forces used also, and their points limit. How many points for the defender?

| The Great Wolf ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | objectives could be something like Ammo and/or fuel dumps...a relic perhaps...(it is called hail mary)...or a certain terrain peice...like a hill or shrine...I'm thinkin probably the Ammo and Fuel dump idea works best

Blog Entries: 1 | I like the way ya think wolfie. I say we go with an ammo dump, and a shrine with a relic. Sound good?

Blog Entries: 1 | this might not go down very well but i think when it comes to forces, points limits and objectives it's better to keep things a little vague rather than strictly defined. it'll allow more poeple to get into the scenario, like those who don't have the specific piece of terrain in their collection that we are saying will have to be a part of the battle. allow the players a bit of freedom in certain areas. for example, the points limit could be, say between 3000 and 8000 points rather than just saying 5k, with one side or the other getting a smaller percentage if it's fluffy. the objectives can be anything from fuel dumps to vehicle wrecks, casualties or command posts, depending on what's available to the guys playing the game. of course, all that only applies of we're just trying to create a scenario based on an actual battle. if the goal is to faithfully recreate the battle in tt form then ingore everything i've just said ![]() |

| i think the idea is the over all objectives of the battles not a fictional recreation with the exact turn out I think i hope it wont be loaded for just one side and if the other wins its because of holy intervention

Blog Entries: 1 | Right, I say 8k for the defender, 7,500 for the attacker. Should the attacker be given the flank march (I'm assuming were going apoc here). Your right Hairy, I guess I'll put in the objectives "or whatever the players have handy". Also Hairy, what was that you suggested about random lenght?

Blog Entries: 1 | Right, would everyone please check out my first post in this thread, and see if they have anything to add to the Hail Mary scenario. It's near completion, but there are a few areas I'd like to improve. Anyone have suggestions for the next scenario? Would someone please make a poll for the next scenario for me? I would but I don't know how. I say we let it run for two weeks. If anyone is willing to do this, let me know.

Blog Entries: 1 | i think the points limit and unit choices need a bit of work as there's not way in hell you can get 8 tanks and 3 infantry squads to equil 8k pts! for a gane that big you'd need at least another couple of FoC charts, so it'd have to be APOC. |

Blog Entries: 1 | Shoot, your right Hairy. I haven't even played an Apoc battle, so I know nothing about it. Any suggestions? You think it should be an Apoc battle, Hairy? That's really the only way I can think of to make it feasible.

Blog Entries: 1 | well if it's gonna be a 8k affair the it really should. otherwise we'd need to drop the points a bit. i don't know anything about APOC either so we're screwed on that front til we find someone that does ![]() |
