I would also perhaps add in Fearless... I don't recall morale ever breaking for Space Marines in fluff....

Also, i'm thinking the bolter should be assualt 2 not rapid fire.

What about bumping it up to 50 points, giving him I 5 and LD 10? Too much? I think that an assault 2 bolter(with buffed stats) is also a good idea.

I think you should knock them down to W1, and keep the points the same. They could be a bit overpowered with that, and it could be a pain in the ass keeping track of who's got wounds an who hasent.

Haha...

The only thing I ask is to NOT modify the bolter/bolt pistol. Making the bolter assault _ makes the pistol useless. Keep them their original stats, imho.

Meh, it just always seemed to absolutely negate the pistols usefulness. IF you're going to mod the bolter to assault to 'more accurately reflect it' make it one handed as well, that's how I see it being fired 9/10

Here's the rules for a NORMAL movie marine. these were in WD 300 and i think in some black gobbo...

Combat knives, Bolters & Grenades

However, bolters are Range 36'', S6, AP4, assault 4 rending; grenades can be thrown 6'' to make a S8 AP3 small blast...oh. and combat knives count as rending. yea.

special rules: all marines have fleet, move through cover, infiltrate, 'count as' auspex, and POWER armour.
POWER armour gives a 3+ armour save and 3+ invulnerable save. if you get the armour save, and fail it, you can still roll the invulnerable save. so if hit by a bolter, you get both. if hit by a melta gun, only the invul.

there pretty much god like. (for a hundred points that it.)
however, a squad of ten is 1,000points. so i suppose that a nice trade off. It'd be funnt to see how they play in a normal 1,000 game versus say...guardsmen. now that would either be: Death by lightbulbs. OR a massicre, and not even a funny one. >_<

i think i have more trouble believing the movie marine rhino and wargear (like bolters ) than anything else!
