1500 pt Dark Angels vs. Black Legion - 40K Terra

Right, before I was so rudely interrupted by a horrid gall bladder, I got a battle in the other day. It was a victory points battle againts my old nemesis. It was random lenght, which turned out to be 4, no objective really. I got hammered until my last turn. Before this, I lost my DP which failed me miserably again, and some Death Guard got picked off by sniper fire, and my Slaanesh Raptors got wiped out (although this was my fault, they were designed to pick off weakened opponets caught in the open, but I was desperate and sent them on a suicide charge against the DA Command Squad. (They killed one). However, my Defiler lived to my last turn, hit the Command Squad with a Battle Cannon round, and completely destroyed them. Then my 5 man anti-tank Raptors jumped over some terrain, fired 2 meltas at a Land Raider, and it exploded, not scathing my Raptors, but killing 6 of a 10 man DA tac squad! That was the gist of it, I ended up winning, only because the Chaos powers blessed my dice in the last turn. I'll add more details when I can, it was one of my favorite battles.

good for you, wish the chaos gods would bless my dice. i played gent a few days ago and we called the game at turn 2, damn wife getting off work and wanting me home, and i barely caused 300 pts of damage while he cleaned up 700-800 pts. stupid dice.

Ah, the dice can be a cruel mistress. Although it seems every time I score a penetrating hit on a vehicle, it explodes! That makes me very happy. Especially when a 180 point Raptor Squad vaporizes a Land Raider!

jeese I wish my dise would get blesses how is it i can shoot a lascannon at a rhino get 6 to hit 6 to pin and 1 for damage. either that or I use 3 russes battal cannon and get maybe 3 kills. I say the dice hate gaurd.

OK you want to talk about bad luck... Check this out.

My first tourny I played my Blood Angels in was a 1500 point list. Of coarse I take Chaplain with the extra D3+3 Death Company (DC from now on). After deployment I ended up with 11 DC and the Chaplain. My frist oppent was run of the mill orcs. On Turn Two I lost all 11 DC in one orc shooting phase. Not one assault, not over the coarse of a game. NOPE in one shooting phase I lost 11 DC to Orcs. They had to hit with BS of 2, then Wound on 4's or 5's then I had to not only fail my 3+ save, but then my 4+ ignore wound save as well.

Man dice Hate me.

Hehehe, I use purple dice most of the time. Slaanesh must love it, though my Raptors got slaughtered. I tell ya, it was one of the most spectacular last turns I've had. All but 1 of a Command Squad killed by a Battle Cannon round. I was just about to get rid of my Defiler too. Now I'm keeping it for sure. Know what I hate most about my pal's DA? Frickin scouts. It used to be Landspeeders, but I've come up with some ways to counter them. Tis ok, next battle his Scouts will get a taste of 8 Combi-bolters and 2 Reaper Autocannons from my 10 man termie squad. I might go with a Heavy Flamer instead of Reaper though, I still got 2 termies to finish building. What would be most effective against the hated sniper rifle wielding Scouts? I might use the Icon on my Bikes to DS the termies right in on them.
