1ksons vs DA - rescue rematch - 40K Terra

hey guys.

well since after last weekend i ended up pretty much where i had started with the league over here i was able to challenge the DA player again. and since he's usually up for a game it was a go. we decided to try the resue mission again. once again as before we had a nuetral 3rd party place the counters and roll the dice for which counter we were looking for. once again it was lucky #4. one difference we tried this time was we used the long table edges for deployment this time instead of corners. so we had 6 inches deep to go.

i got 1st go again (lucky me!!!) and i ran my rhino in the center right up to the center marker and jumped out and blew smoke from my tank for cover. guess what i found!!!!!!!!!! bingo #4 staring at me!!!!!

needless to say that was a big change on the game.

turn 2 we both got half of our reserves in. i ran my sorcerer on bike up my right flack followed by 1 obliterator while sending my defiler and spawn up the middle to help cover the fallback of the unit with the marker which mounted back up and got out of sight. spawny of course chagred the drop pod that was closest........stupid spawn.

turn 3 we both got the remainder of our reserves in. sorcerer on bike lit up the temie who were in the conga line. and the oblit whiffed. back in the center the defiler moved up into cover and ripped open a dread with its reaper cannon. popped the arm off another and killed the drop pod that the spawn was window licking on. then spawn boy got tied into htw with the termies which actully turned out good for me as they took him down and did a sweeping advance into another unit losing thier charge bonus!!! i had also moved my unit with the marker evern further behind cover and out of sight of everything!!!

turn 4 - turn 4 saw me eliminating the dread threats and continuing the hth with the termies in the center.

turn 5 - in t5 i was able to get my sorcerer on bike into hth with the termies messing with my center and whipe them out. then it was awork on belial and the land raiders. scattered off the lr on my right flank with the defiler and got my powers off but only hit in the center on the crusader which took out its asscannon *whew*.

last turn saw me finally hit the normal lr but not pen and hit and not do anything to the other raider either. but that was okayfor me as i still had the counter so by objectives the day was mine!!!

i got to start another game later also for the challenge league against the ig player who i was now tied with. we played a mission which when rolled up ended up being ambush. we rolled off for att/def and i won so i chose to attack. we got everything set up and then the ig player forfieted. he did nothing but ***** about not being able to win as either att or def in this mission and that all missions are designed to be anit-ig. it really pissed me off. at first he was willing to play it out but got really *****y as the 1 turn came to the end so i accepted his forfiet. now i've made it to the #1 position of the league. i cant move up anymore but i can be knocked down. i'll stay there for a while then i'll reorganize my army to try something different and start at the bottom again. the ig player wants to challenge me again but he refusses to play a mission. i'm gonna make it a dice roll for mission or no mission and if he refusses then i'll talk to the guy running the legaue about not having to listen to his *****ing.

I would of stayed but my boy was ready to go.Hopfully soon we can get a game going and you can kick my rusty butt.

Whats the two white things in the middle of the board?

btw honestly haven't gotten any 40k games in since this last one....

Dude that sucks. And look at sometime in June. However, I will be bringing my Fiance' too ( I am proposing to her before I come see you guys). And I will probably bring a standard detachment for some games. But of course I want to visit
