Blood Angels vs the Dirty Heretics

So 1000pts, my angels vs the chaos marines.

It was a senario, Take and Hold i believe. It didnt matter, So we tear accross the board, he teleports some termys behind one of my tac squads.

My DC bounds across the board, and my Furioso is...well...destroyed in the first turn.

Long story short all my guys were killed by the end of the match, and I lost.

But why? well, word of my coming was leaked!

one of you had warned him! He came prepared!

I also lost against some orcs that day too on the same secnario.

umm we need more info other than just an accusation that a certain player leaked some valuable info.


takes jus10 to the side "listen kid we all no that Erus has it out against you, join the Emperor in the coming battle and we shall lay him low"

any way we are gonna need some information about this battle such as army lists and point limits and we also need to know what happened other than you got beat.

*innocent falsetto voice* Not me! Not me at allll! PM me sometime and i'll tell you exactly how to defeat the bugger. He IS my bet friend, and I DO have his army list and know all his tactics, as I helped him develop them!

what? its not a big deal (it wasnt any kind of valuable info, just that i was coming and i was BA, which i proudly bost about anyways), i dont want to get anybody in trouble.

‘Furioso’ Dreadnought w/ Two CC Weapons, Storm Bolter, Meltagun

Troops:
Space Marines (x18) w/ Bolter and CC Weapon
Sargent (x2) w/ Bolt Pistol and Chain Sword
Scouts x4 w/ Bolt Pistol, CC Weapon
Scout Sarge w/ Bolt Pistol, Chain Sword, Terminator Honors

jeez kid edit that post before the GW lawyers get here and sue the crap out of us. we are not allowed or we are at least asked not to include individual points for items and such.

Actually he is fine. Given that he is not pairing the price to the individual item, it is legal. But it would piss GW off anyway. From now on, try to make the cost cumulative (per unit/squad, per IC, etc..). It's ok though. Easy mistake to make.

yes i did, in the parenthesis i had them in order they are listed. I took it out, i didnt even think about it, i just copy and pasted my own notes. fixed it.

alright now that that is done lets take a look at this list.

in an 1000 point list i cant really see any flaws right off the bat with this list. it just appears that the dice gods screwed you over.

This Night Lords player is uncommonly lucky with the dice. But same here man. Good solid list... Just a bad few rolls.

no real heavy weapons...a critical flaw of my chapter is their lust for battle. I have this rage test that could force me to move during the start of my turn. So i cant really carry many heavy weapons in any kind of assuring way.

my scout squad was a little...short handed.

my termy's turned out to last...well, not long at all (i think i needed more of those too.)

and yeah, my dready was knocked out int eh first turn..and he's all about cc.

yeah that lack of heavy armour piercing weapons is the main disadvantage of blood angles. you said the other player was a night lord right? dont know much about them but he probably had a good bit more heavy weapons and just shot you down.

A night lord?

He was Chaos Marines, he had his dready equiped with long ranged crazy heavy weapons. And it took my dready right out of the game.

He also made a good call teleporting his termy's right behind my dread \naught and tac squads (my DC was clear across the map), and it was all down hill from there.

Another thing that was wrong: my Tac Squads are outfitted with Bolters, and if i fire i cant assault. And its very important that I assault.

I'm going to be starting a second army soon though. But I'm not getting rid of my blood angels.

yeah i believe that erus said the player was a night lord player. an original traitor legion. dont really know the rules or play style of them.

CSM sit back and shoot up with large beefy bolter squads. Hordes of raptors/bikers rape in CC and run away. Often no daemon prince what so ever, or any daemons if they play the army true to the fluff.

I pretty much took care of the raptors, after they destroyed my lonley scout squad. His only tac squad didnt even get into the fight until the very end. And i was whiping them out (until his remaining termy's jumped in the fight), then...yeah...it had to be bad dice on my part and good posioning on his part.

As a side note...well something off topic, I was prompted to agree to the forum rules before i could post this reply. Was that a warning or something?

Nah, I had it too. I think its just to make sure that even existing members of the forum know the rules.

Sounds like you just got unlucky, that happens sometimes. Though I think the people I play steal my luck somehow... I'll find out how someday....

Well, if you ever show up to the Gameshop again we can schedule a re-match, or take some pics of your BA to post up. I just had a whole squad of Marines go missing though, so I may not be able to field many points against you should you want to test yourself against another heretic.

my advice...shoot the damn daemon prince...he hurts if he manages to close with you...also watch for his daemonets...rending can be a *****

I do have a LOT more daeomnettes now, and yes.. Fear the Prince of the Golden Hand. Fear him well.
