Hullo, folks!

I'll jump right in my first '40kterra' post:
I barely lost against Slaanesh Noise makers, a mere 55 or so points on a 2k game. Fun game, though. Good opponent. Dramatic dice. I made 4 Invulnerable saves in termie armor in one spot, and then he turned around and ran some of my SMs off the table. I had three speeders and a broken legged dread to his Chaos Lord (one more wound!), and two troop squads.

But have I *got* to learn to keep a buffer zone between me and the stupid Icon bearers. I'm really annoyed with myself for having had 2 terminator crews that I could have kept well back, and fired and moved with lotsa dice. Instead, like a dork, I had them lined up behind the tactical squads.

My opponent had two great scatters that set up his little girls who then gave my terminator crew lethal lap dances.

I did eventually fry the little vixens with torandos, once the girls had relieved themselves of their h2h combat burdens...
[heavy sarcasm there]

Any helpful hints, or is it just that obvious: 18 inches, err, 19 inches?

Sounds like it was a great game! All of my games seem to end up with either me being beaten horribly, or my opponent getting........in fact, lets just stick with me being beaten horribly

well, you could go the quick and easy approch and bring along a cheap inquisitor lord and a vindicare! don't like icon bearers? then just pick them off!!!

or you could try and feed the little darlings some scouts... (hey, the kiddies have to learn at some point, right?!)

A solution to the lovely damonettes, as it has been used against me by my friendly Nieghbhorhood Night Lords player is to use blast templates weapons to pummel the leveing daylights out of them. Cursed blasts!
