| Proved to be disastrous, but nonetheless I pulled through. 500 point battle, marines outnumbered 2:1. Archon with all sorts of nastyness and 3 squads of warriors completely filled (4 assault weapons) with blasters and splinter cannons. My side had 18 marines and 1 commander, in squads of 6 with a heavy bolter in two squads and a plasma cannon in the third. We played a relatively small board due to point constraints. (5x4) The DE fell like flies, but when two squads got within 24" those splinter cannons wreaked havoc, luckily I killed the archon with the combined fire of a squad. (He had a 2+ invul generator) they got into CC after felling 10 of my marines through blasters and cannons and they got wiped as much as i did. Both squads fell to the single heavy weapon choice i had gave them, after leadership they were able to take down 8 more warriors before being killed. my lone commander won the match for me, cutting through the DE with ease, but nonetheless I learned an invaluable thing: Don't underestimate the killing potential of Dark Eldar.

Blog Entries: 1 | DE with no transports? I guess it is 500 points... Meh. DE gets a lot scarier when they can take their toys in higher point values ![]()

| High Lord of Terra ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Sounds like a grueling battle... At 500 points it has been my experience, that whom ever gets the first turn usually wins oh and as a space marine bring a Dreadnaught. No one expects them and they tear through every thing. Now once you bump up the points to 1,000+ and start playing on 6x4 or 4x8 tables then things should get a little more hary for you. Watch out for their transports they zoom out of no where and pounce on you. I recomend lots and lots of bolters both heavy and normal. Termies with assault cannons are a good defense against these buggers as well. Good Luck with your future battles. Servo |

| Thats the thing, I'm used to killing armored companies so most of my sqauds are tank hunters. I have dreadnoughts with AI weapons but I couldnt use them at the time.

| Well to keep compulsory force organization, I had to use a dumbed down chapter master and three severely undermannned squads. Fitting a dreadnought in there wasn't possible.
