| It looks good as long as you keep at least two of your Beastman Herds on the table and not in ambush. You will need them to protect your Frenzied units. You can't have Crown of Horns and Horn of the Great Hunt on the same character because they are both Talismans. Also since you are obviously putting units in Ambush and your Lord has Frenzy you have to make sure that he is not in line of sight of anything on the first turn. There are certain units out there that can move up and take the charge of the unit with the Lord and Battle Standard and have enough punch to kill the Lord before he can blow his horn. We all know to never ever let that happen. I've seen it happen.

| I would remove the crown of horns and just make sure you get the charge. The whole unit loses its meaning if it doesn't get the charge. One last thing, remember that you can only have one Vitriolic Totem. You can't take more than one of the same magic item.

| The Witchhunter ![]() | if you would permit me i just need to get this off my chest (screams into the air): "Bray shamans and Khorne!!!! so unfluffy it brings me out in a rash!!!!" am better now why not give the beastlord a great weapon? cheaper and better as long as you get the charge - which you should. also consider armour of damnation instead of the chaos armour. gaze of the gods may be worth a thought too with your herds, you may be better off having 15 ungors to get an odd number for panic only one unit of Bestigors may have any kind of mark. plus i would try to fit a second chariot in - the first one is going to attract a lot of attention |

| Yeah you should check the item list in the Hordes Book. There might be a few things that suit you better.

| The Witchhunter ![]() | bear in mind though despite what i have said about the magic items items, come the new mortals book chances are you cannot use anything but whats in the Beasts book - may be worth considering Pelt of the Dark Young, Heavy armour and shield. and what i said about only one unit of Bestigors being able to have a mark, it also applies to standards - i.e. only one unit may have a magic standard |

| The Witchhunter ![]() | those herds are way too large - i would work on the basis of 8 Gors and 13 ungors if you want large units, anything more becomes a bit unwieldy bulk up the Besti/Khorngors more - 20 - 25 minimum i think just because they aren't as manuevrable as the herds and may take the wounds first taking a few hounds may prove a distraction and could add a few extra kills just when you need them - 5 hounds is the same cost as 6 ungors with shields so isn't that bad. i shall have to check my books tonight on the magic items but initially you cannot have both the coller of khorne and the horn of the great hunt on the beast lord - i cant remember if the coller counts as a talisman, in which case you therefore have 2 which is illegal, or it is an enchanted item, and beasts cannot have enchanted items. plus with the scimitar, i still think a great weapon would be better presumably you still only have one chariot because you only own one chariot? |

| The Witchhunter ![]() | first of all, in my last post i said the besti/khorngors should be 20-25 minimum. that was wrong, i was originally going to write 20 min, then changed it and didn't delete the word minimum. beastmen chariots are pound for pound the best in the game. but if you only have one and the opponent gets a lucky cannon hit or any S7 hit, it is gone. worth reconsidering. as for the characters, i have mocked up some suggested combos you might want to consider: Beastlord w/ Armour of Damnation, Crown of Horns, Shield, Great Weapon, MoK = 204 Wargor w/ Standard, Heavy armour, Beast Banner, MoK = 184 Wargor w/ Chaos Armour, Shield, Great Weapon, Coller of Khorne, MoK = 136 Wargor w/ Pelt of the Dark Young, Dark Heart, Heavy Armour, Shield, Great Weapon, MoK = 155 basically i think that armour of tortured souls is overpriced and that Damnation or Dargan is a better investment as for things like the Scimitar of Skulkar or great fang i shall try to explain better why i think a Great Weapon wins out for me: the great weapon means that a beastlord can kill chariots single handedly, is 9 points cheaper than skulkar, only automatically stikes last in second round (which you don't want to get into anyway) and the enemy will only receive his armour save anyway if his armour is 2+ (3+ if the great weapon is wielded by a wargor) and even then they are reduced to 6+! as for the banner bearer, it is personal choice whether he is worthwhile (i use one), but due to the nature of the beasts army, they can be very spread out which reduces the efficacy of the army standard bonus just a few thoughts |
