That sounds like the conversion done on the Defiler (think its in the main 40K book)
The thing is does it need to be big?Necron units can be incredibly powerful yet small-as we've seen!

Yea, that defiler conversion was great. Well traditionally titans are suposed to be big, thats why they are called titans; they are titanic, huge, gigantic.

Im sure they have something big to use for land battles. They have some of the largest space ships in the galaxy. Wherever they came from, im sure there are some other huge contraptions awaitng a tomb spiders attention.

I prefer the giant tomb spider style idea. i could imagine it hovering over the battlefield. I think it should be called a Harvester class titan.

Thats my ideas anyway.

I like that idea-makes me think of the Wraith from Stargate Atlantis just stripping the battlefield bare of life and opposition!

Titan can refer to enormous strength and power not just size!

i`ve actualy seen this silly cartoon when i was little, and it was about this huge robot that came from... somewhere, and he kinda fell on his so he couldn`t remember his purpuse in 'live' (obviously something to do with destroying a certain race of humanoids ) but at a certain moment along the soty he realised he was full of weapons (the only one i remember is this really really BIG chest-mounted blueraythatgoesthrouweverythinggunofdeath )
Oh, and he could rebuild himself kinda like our beloved necrons
*he hugged a nuke and went BOOM and there were pices of him around the country/whatever that was, and all the little pieces started moving towards the bigger chuncks so they could reasemble the big fella

so, a 50x necron warrior-ish thing could really work

if that fails just give me a DarkSteel Colossus :x

that kinda sounds like the Iron man cartoon. i saw that when i was very small but still remember most of its shooty weapons of death. now if a necron titan was like thet, it would be like tougher than a tau manta ray

i'm inclinded to agree, however during the Medusa V campaign there was an official GW developement of the appearance of a massive Necron construct known as the 'Death Crawler' (or something along those lines), which made its way across Edethor(UK) leaving complete destruction in its wake - there was never an official description of what this thing actually looked like though.

If there was to be anything larger than the Monlith or Pylon by GW, i would imagine it as either a very large Tomb Spider type thing or a big Pyramid structure (like the massive thing that the Zoican leader uses to assult Vervunhive in Necropolis).

isnt the normal tomb spyder warhound sized?
but yea i agree. the c'tan wouldnt spend alot of effort into one thing when they could make 100 warriors.

A normal tomb spyder is just smalled than a rhino in the table top game.

I like the Necropolis thing, too. The first thing I thought was "this should be a Necron vehicle..."

Ive just been watching the "Animatrix" DVD again and those robots that adavance across the battlefield floating in the air clearing everthing in their path with those tendril arms remind me of your idea-they are actualy quite disturbing and scary-perfect for the Necrons.

Yeah, I recently got the Animatrix, and there is some good Necron titan inspriation in there. One thing I thought would be cool for Necrons was those floating pyramid things. I'm not sure if that's what you were referring to, but they had one huge grasping claw on the bottom, and a Death Star-style disc in one side of the pyramid that shot lasers at ground targets. It was pretty scary lookin'...

As a side note, the early verson of the APU's reminded me a bit of Tau suits, and the huge tanks that crush that one protesting robot are pretty much bane/storm/etc.-blades...

Its quite a shocking film at times-the machine army just ripping the human battlesuits to pieces and the human troopers huddled down in the trenches shaking with battle fatigue all the while the machines just march relentleesly forward.I think it shows a machine weapon that flays the victim just like a gauss weapon.
Many of the machines in it though are perfect ideas for Necron warmachines/vehicles!

I think a Necron titan would just be a giant monilith. Get five monoliths and stack one on the four and bam one Necron Titan. All you have to do is destroy it 5 times with each glancing 6 or penetrating 4,5,6. It gets 5 templates a turn, -1 template for each vehichle destroyed roll. Can transport 4 squads per turn, -1 squad for each vehichle destroyed roll. 5d6 shots at all units within 12", -1 for each weapon destroyed roll -6 for each vehichle destroyed roll. Due to it's size it can always be shot at regardless of intervening terrain or vehichles. How many points do you think this will be?

thats a pretty cool idea.
instead of stacking them on top (that would look kinda silly) you would just have one giant one. instead of gauss flayers it would have 4 power matrixes, but nothing on top. there would be a big portal on each side.
something like that would cost probrobly 400 points.

That`s a nice pyramid of doom, but will it still interact with WBB?

Of coarse it will enteract with WBB. Only four fold as in four squads per turn rather then the Monoliths one. 400pts sounds kinda cheap for the Pyramid of Doom as it has been dubed unless it's matrixes can only fire in there arc.

still thats pretty overpowerd for only 400 pts. able to lay down either 4 templates or tranport 4 different squads a turn that could destroy even the most powerful anti necron list known to any relgious diety or satan

That must be for Epic or something. Wow! The Abittor and the AEonic Orb sound pretty freakin' scary.

I think the AEonic orb is the best one. Some really good modeling possabilites, and does not have to be the size of a Titan. It could be the size of A monoltith. It would also be a practical gaming peice, not like the abittour. The abittour would cover the entire batlefield.

Hmm, should I start a Thread in the rules development section about this, it would be interesting.

P.S. Mwah ha ha ha, 666 posts!!!

Curse this government owned computer and there web restrictions. I can't view the pics. They shall pay dearly for this.

Anyway I have found that anything with AE infront of it is usually very dangerose. But wow imagine a table representing the abittour with towers and and such that could be destroy as well as the apposing force. Mind you this would be a huge game.

Yes, and the fact that the abattoir has about 9 Particle whips or something like that means that any body invading the structure are sure to suffer heavy casualties!

I shudder to think of what that could do to any force out there except a heavy Terminator/Dreadnought army. Even that would have a near impossible feat.

Sealed deep within the hidden vaults under the Edafos, once accessible only from within Edethor's Mouth, lies the Crypt Stalker . This creation of ancient purposes is likened to a Tomb Spyder of gargantuan proportions.

Aeons ago, this Necron creature was defeated and sealed in by the Old Ones, but now, the mining operations of the Imperials, having crossed the Edafos, have reached the vicinity of the ancient tombs and are breaking those seals down; the still-dormant Crypt Stalker begins to wake....
