Blog Entries: 2 | I don't know the points, stats, or even tactics of the C'Tan, given that I haven't truly played a game yet, so I'll just give my fluff-y perspective. Nightbringer Death: Has a scythe, a hood, and is thinner than a prep. Scary: See above. Powerful: In the BL story, he ripped a decent amount of Marines to shreds with barely any effort, and that was when he had just woken up from an untold-millennia-long nap. Nearly Killed Khaine, And Even After He Was "Defeated" He Still Tainted Him: that, and he's apparently the cause of all hatred, anger, and bloodthirst, and he makes the Grim Reaper look like a pansy. And he has more clothing on. Deceiver: Michael Jackson: I don't know why, he just reminds me of him. I'm half expecting him to spin around and do the crotch-grab thing. Ugly As Sin: Given that he's supposed to be so charismatic he can make his enemies off themselves, you'd think he'd be a bit better looking. His Head Looks Like Someone Ripped Off Cthulhu's And Put It On Upside Down: Nuff said. His Greatest Achievement: He made a semi-emo race the Terminators. So he gets some credit. But he loses some because I'm pretty sure he's the origin of all emos. I might be a bit biased in this regard, but I still say Nightbringer. If you want opinions on actual play though... I can't help you.

Nighty-Big Killing machine that your opponent ignores hoping to phase you out before it kills them (Big Killy Thing) Deceiver- really ticks off your opponent well not really doing damage to units, he will damage your opponents mind alot with his warping around and getting out of cc aka:TONS OF FUN TO USE! | |

| Conscript ![]() | I haven't used with C'tan yet, though I'd imagine you'd want to probably play them more for enjoyment than victory. Their cost means they can be pretty hard to justify in all but the largest lists, and you'll either get really luck or they'll do very little. Nightbringer Pros - Damn fine model, and general look and feel in the fluff. - Has the best stats of an infantry model in the game. - Will probably scare the crap out of your oponent just by placing it on the table. - Can deffinately make sure that your warrior Phalanx will not be assaulted. - Can take on absolutely anything in the game, from Khorn Bezerker Terminators to Grey Knights to Wraiths Lords and Avatars. Can tear through tanks like paper, and slice masses of models to pieces. IF he reaches combat, he is a monster. Cons - Slower than a 9 year old pulling a cow on a trolley into battle and as subtle as a slap in the face. He can be difficult to get across the board as your opponent can simple move aside and avoid him, and he can end up chasing targets all game. - Will take a lot of fire, and though this could be a Pro as he'll absorb it from your valuable Monolith and Destroyer Units, he may only make it across the board with 1 or two wounds left. And with 5E new consolidation rule he's going to take a lot od fire after each phase of combat too. Deciever pros - I've been a long member of the CSG (a forum like this one, dedicated to Necrons), and all the veteran gamers over there seem to view him as the prefered C'tan option. - His multiple abilities mean that even while he may not be AS deadly at the Nightbringer, he'll still do your opponents head in as his hard bitten veterans are sent running like 5 year old girls back towards his table edge. And the clever use of the 'spring board' technique can see him behind enemy lines and causing chaos early. - More tactically viable. flexible, and cheaper than the Nightbringer. - Is often underestimated as the Nightbringers crap cousin, so while he won't keep your enemy from assaulting as effectively, he will probably surprise them with his counter assault strength. Cons - Simply not as good in combat as the Nightbringer, nor as efficient at slicing through troops or taking down tanks. - Is, yes, ugly as sin. ![]()
