Rumour?/noob question

hi, bit of a noob question but when you purchase a box of 12 necron warrior boxed set, does each wariior come with the neon tube thing for their gauss gun or do only say four come with them and also i have heard tht the neon parts glow in the dark?! please clarify. Michael.

each necron comes with one (i think there may be a few spare too, in case you mess them up)

and no they dont glow in the dark, theyre just green tinted clear plastic

It would be good if they did glow in the dark. The price we pay for them, they should have little LEDs in them. Anyways, two tips i think might be usefull is:

1) Dont over use the glue when placing them on the model, the glue marks show up on the clear plastic alot.

2) Paint the model before you place the green bits onto the gun.

3) and dont make the stupid mistake of gluing them on and them spraying the models! ive seen this done before
4)you can glue them on with small dabs of pva glue

yeah, theres many insane necron conversions out there, incuding an entire army with led eyes!

Oh! its a converison (slaps head) how could they get a tiny light inside tht tube or w/e lol as for an army wid red eyes.........very scary.....the battlkefield will suddenly turn brown and i'm not on about melted chocalate (shivers)

i think with normal necrons the scary thing is somoene with enough time and patience to drill thpugh the legs/spine of a model, fit a tiny little bulb in the head, thread a wire through be dody/legs into the base and install a battery/switch... all on over 50 models, many of which are metal!

ive seen a thousand sons army like that, and its so cool! saw it in WD sometime. he also did it under the vehicles so it seemed like they floated, and in the defilers eyes. prty awsome.

Yeah, but most people just use glow in the dark paint, though it doesn't last very long.

that pick you psted looks to me like its under a blacklight. witch i would guess would make those lil neon tubes low like the sun. along with any bright highlights.

if you look at the background lighting youll see that it is being lit w/ a Black light. ALL GREEN TUBING IS BL REACTIVE!!
you can supplement this w/ Indelleble (bad spelling) Ink *as a drybrush* and the afforementioned glow paint to get effects like this:
