Actually, I would fill out your Wraith squad and Heavy Destroyer squad first. They're much more effective if there's more of them. Plus, when either dies, they cannot get back up because there are no other models like them on the field. So having a full squad pays off big-time.

Don't worry about mobility: you can give the foot Lord a Veil of Darkness.

Rule number 1. - Never trust a GW worker. They do not know what they are talking about. I haven't met a GW red shirt who was a truly truly veteran gamer that didn't want to talk you into buying whats exspensive. Rule number 2. - Ask us ![]() Its pretty simple. Get the Necron Lord Profile, then look under wargear information. Destroyer body is the answer.

Blog Entries: 4 | My generally ideal necrons army, for 2k pts (though ive never owned one) includes at least 1 squad of 3 destroyers (preferably 2), a foot lord, 40+ warriors, a 'lith if you want one, but it's not needed to win games. Oh and immortals too, gotta have 'em. with GW employees, always get to know them. some of them are too young / noob to know anything, some are just salesmen, some are really nice people who actually love the hobby and dont give a horse's butt about what you buy and where. Most of the GW staff i know and regularly talk to at the store are the last kind

| i would suggest buying another box of necrons and a monolith, and reorginizing your squads into 3 units of 20. 3X of 20 would let u start out with 40 warriors on the board, instead of 24. also, the monolith can teleport the reserve unit directly to it so your slow warriors dont have to start at the table edge. otherwise i would agree with what rosandel said. get a foot lord and fill out HD squad. |

| Extremis Diabolus ![]() ![]() | Although we're talking about pumping up your army, I would like to mention that you should definitely keep and use the scarabs you have. Maybe not all of them out once, but you'd be surprized at how annoy they will be to opponents (like me and my Death Company) who have elite assault troops that can take down a squad of Marines no problem, but have a slow time chewing through scarabs. It's just annoying when you know that you could be chowing down on juicier targets, but no, you're drying your mouth out on scarabs, wasting turns.

| Trooper ![]() | Well seeing that scarabs have only 3 wounds and 3 attacks ive been putting 3 scarabs per a base instead of four. So instead of having 3 bases of scarabs per warrior box i can make 4 bases of scarabs :P ive been reading up on the nightbringer, the pros, cons and whatnot :P and i went out and bought one, just to annoy anyone i go up against next time :P A friend of mine will be selling me his necron foot lord sometime this week too. im still gonna fill out my wraiths and destroyers for now :P

Funny thing is, if they do those sorta things you'll probably spend more money in the long run, (eg keep coming back to the shop, and trying out other armies, not droping the hobby after a bad experiance and a waste of cash).
