| I recently bought a Brettonian army, which consists of: Paladin Damsel on horseback damsel on foot 16 men at arms 16 longbowmen 8 knights And I was wondering what type of knights should I buy next because I need cavalry on each of my flanks but I am unsure as what to go for. |

| well, you *must* include at least one unit of realm knights so i'm going to assume that's the unit you've already got ![]() as for what unit to get next, you need to decide do you want numbers or skill?! if you want simple numbers, then get some knights errant as they are the cheapest knightly unit... slap on the erranty banner and they're S6 on the charge! (though you'll likely never pass any 'impetuous' tests )if you want skill, then you can either go the hard-hitting quest knights or the rather more predictable, but awsome grail knights!!! the drawback to quest knights is that if you don't break the enemy the turn you charge, you'll be striking last thanks to those great weapons... this can be very painfull if you're up against another elite type unit or are fighting a fully ranked unit of spearmen! grail knights on the other hand while awsome, are horribly expensive pts-wise meaning that each loss really hurts, especially in lower pts games! the other option is pegasus knights. honestly, i've never used them as i find they simply seem too expensive considering the high volumes of enemy attention they always draw! (that and i can't roll an armour save even if my life depended on it!!!) however, i've heard these guys are great flankers! being that that's what you're after, you might just want to give them a try?! hope this helps, cheers!

| Trooper ![]() | What Stitch said, but I notice that you don't have a BSB. You MUST include one thanks to the army rules. Other then that I'd also suggest getting a large (and I mean LARGE) unit of Archers and make them skirmishers. Take the villein but the rest of the command is really up to you. These plucky buggers always do their job and I take them in a 40 man unit. In the case of Pegasus knights I do take them. As already said, they're great flankers and make excellent war machine hunters. Plus those Pegasi are better fighters then horses. Good luck lad!
