Number/squad: 1
Options: An Inquisitor or Inquisitor Lord may be given any equipment allowed from the Alienhunter armoury.
Retinue: An Inquisitor Lord must be accompanied by a retinue of Henchmen as detailed below. An Inquisitor may be accompanied, but is not required to. If the Inquisitor or Inquisitor Lord has a retinue than he and the retinue are treated as a single unit during battle. Note that the retinue does not count as additional HQ choice.
SPECIAL RULES:
Psyker: Ordo Xenos Inquisitors and Inquisitor Lords are often potent psykers and may select psychic powers from the Ordo Xenos Psychic Powers list.
Iron Will: Psyker or not, an Inquisitor or Inquisitor Lord will have an unbending determination to prevail, backed by a clinical understanding of how to achieve those goals. As such, an Inquisitor Lord can choose whether to pass or fail any Morale check or Pinning test he is called upon to make, even if failure is automatic. This ability is conveyed to any unit he joins.
Independent Character: Unless accompanied by his retinue (see below), the Inquisitor or Inquisitor Lord is an independent character and follows all of the rules for characters in the Warhammer 40,000 rulebook. If the retinue is destroyed he becomes an independent character and is free to join other units.

Alien Points
Some Inquisitors, and from time to time, even senior Deathwatch Space marines use alien technology to fight the xenos. Certain weapons and wargear in the Alien hunters armoury have a number with "AP" after the name. This is the number of "Alien Points" the weapon costs. Characters have certain amounts of AP to spend, if they wish. They can take multiple pieces of alien technology, so long as the sum of the number of Alein Points of the equipment does not exceed their allowed number of Alien Points. The points allowed are listed below.
Inquisitor Lords: 6 AP
Inquisitors, Deathwatch Captain and Librarian: 5 AP
Acolyte: 2AP
Alienhunters may take allies or be allied to Imperial armies as if they were Daemonhunters. See Codex: Deamonhunters for details.
